Challenge #1

Collection Used: Craft Happy (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “This collection features two products that you might have questions about – Rub On Transfers and Vellum Embellishments! – and the secret to using both effectively is to BURNISH!
The Rub on Transfers look like rows of intricate even stitches. Select the row you want to use and cut it from the main sheet, then remove the paper backing. Carefully place the remaining clear plastic strip onto your paper with the ink stitches facing down, and smooth with your finger. Then use the flat edge of a Multi-Purpose Tool or the blunt edge of a bone folder to burnish and rub over the entire row of stickers. You’ll know the stitches have transferred to the paper when you lift the edge of the plastic and the ink stitches remains on the paper.
To invisibly attach the Vellum Embellishments to your layout, make sure to use the Vellum Tape Runner on the back of the embellishment, place it on your page and then burnish and rub over the area where the adhesive is to make it disappear!”
Challenge #2

Collection Used: Noteworthy Days (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “Every calendar month and annual holiday is featured on the Noteworthy stickers, so it was easy to create a layout for Mother’s Day by choosing Noteworthy papers that picked up the colors in the May/Mother’s Day stickers. It was fun to add extra detail to the Slide Reel Border Punch by placing 1 ½” circles cut with the Blue Blade on the inside track of the smallest CCS Circle template behind the cut-out details in the border, and topping each circle with a small floral sticker. The Noteworthy Collection is the easiest way to scrapbook all year long!”
Challenge #3

Collection Used: All American Blast (Shop Canada) (Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “The addition of island Waters to Red, White and Blue is a fresh and fun take on the classic all-American palette! The larger holographic foiled embellishments stand on their own for a big wow factor. The cut-apart papers can be used for journal boxes and borders – I cut two matching borders in half to stretch them across the top and the middle of this two-page layout. So fun!”
Challenge #4

Collection Used: Relax Into Summer (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “The vibrant colors and fun icons in this collection are everywhere this summer as we all want to celebrate “La Dolce Vita” or, “The Sweet Life”! CM’s 1 ¾’ Circle Punch is an easy way to create little bases for embellishments, and the Write On! Stickers provide a clean spot to journal on…perfect to help them stand out from the bold and bright paper patterns!”

“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” – Albert Einstein
Thank you for all the ideas, I love to see the finished as well as the idea, although some are not my colours it really helps to get the designer in me going which at times I really need.
Thanks for the versatile sketches and the sample layouts using current collections. Every time I see a layout with the Noteworthy Days, it reinforces why its the perfect All Year Long collection! The designs, colors, and embellishments work with probably 99% of our photos. Again, kudos to the designers and artists.
In Challenge Sketch #2 sample layout, Noreen suggests cutting 1 1/2″ circles using the CCS to fit behind the Slide Reel BMC Circles. However the Slide Reel Circles are ~ 1.2″ – 1.25″. The suggested Blue Bade on inside track of smallest CCS Circle will still work out as the combo of blue blade + inside track + smallest template = 1″ circle. The Green blade would cut 1 1/4″ while the Red would cut a 1 1/2″ circle.
Looking at the image, the border shows 10 Slide Reel circles which is the correct # of circles for a 12″ Slide Reel Border Strip. If the BMC circles were truly 1.5″, the border strip would have to be 15″ long! So it was a typo. But folks might measure their blue blade cut circles and think they did something wrong before checking that they would be just perfect, exactly as Noreen shows it.
