Celebrating NSD With Our Chicks!
We’ve been following the magic happening in our community Facebook groups, and the energy is incredible. From high-capacity retreats to intimate beginner workshops, these stories prove that National Scrapbooking Day is about so much more than paper—it’s about the people.
As we head into the official NSD weekend, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the events we’ve seen so far. Whether you are headed to a massive crop or nesting at home with your own albums, we hope these highlights inspire your creative process. There is truly nobody better than this community when it comes to celebrating life’s best moments and we hope you get to scrap with your chicks this weekend!
The Full Circle Moment
“I signed up to be an Advisor when I attended my first NSD event last year. So exciting that 10 months later, I hosted my own! We had an awesome day building community and growing friendships, old and new.”
— KAREN

We love a full-circle story. Karen’s event focused on the power of “showing, not just telling.” By putting out a demo album with labeled collections, she made it easy for her guests to visualize their own memories on the page.
The Album Kit Reveal
“They couldn’t stop raving about the concept! We had volunteers each make a two page spread from the kit. Some of our testers put pictures on their pages right away then proudly showed it to the attendees. It was so much fun to see the transformation.”
— LANITA

Lanita’s retreat proved that seeing is believing. By having volunteers dive into the Natural Beginnings Album Kit, she turned a new concept into an instant favorite. The group loved the simplicity and the results so much that they were inspired to start documenting their own stories right then and there. It is a perfect example of how Album Kits take the guesswork out of a project so you can get straight to the memories.
The Joy of the First Page

Sometimes the most impactful moments come from a single invitation. Holly had a guest join her class after seeing an invite on Instagram, and even though they hadn’t scrapbooked in years, they used the opportunity to get back into the hobby and completed seven pages of a vacation in one sitting. It is a beautiful reminder that our community is always growing and there is always room for one more chair at the table.
A Virtual Victory

Janet took the celebration online with a virtual NSD event. Six attendees joined Janet digitally to tackle the NSD Project Recipe and a custom card-weaving technique. Connection isn’t limited by geography. Janet’s event proves that with a solid project recipe and a little bit of screen time, the NSD spirit translates perfectly to a virtual space.
The Spirit of the Celebration
“I had a bingo square to ‘Participate in the Break Out.’ They kept asking what it was. I just said you will find out later… then I started the music and immediately they joined me in the Chicken Dance. We had a good laugh.”
— TINA

Tina’s event focused on fun, games, and a very specific dance.
Don’t forget the fun. Tina reminded us that while we take our memory-keeping seriously, we should never take ourselves too seriously.
As you prep your photos this weekend, remember that you are part of a global collective of storytellers. We are so proud to be the place where your memories live.
