Good morning everyone! I am excited to share my first layout with you using the Imagine Collection! Ah, I just love, love, love, this collection. When I first received this collection, I thought it would work beautifully for a birthday layout since I haven’t scrapbooked Edward’s 7th birthday party!
These birthday favors sure are something to celebrate, just like our birthday this week! Using the Sugarplum Collection, you can make party favor packages just like this for any special occasion.
Hello creators! I am back with a birthday layout I created using the Sugarplum Designer Paper Pack, Designer Stickers, Variety Mat Pack, and Embellishments. Every year, no matter how old I get, my mommy makes me a birthday cake. Sometimes, we don’t get to celebrate my birthday with the family until the end of September, but that’s OK! I don’t know many people who would decline two birthday celebrations in one year. Do you? :)
Since Edward was a year old, he’s been helping me blow my birthday candles out. Mom has taken a picture of the two of us blowing out my birthday candles together for the past 7 years. I love this tradition… This year, Edward was really excited because he helped make the cake and he requested Oreos and pink sprinkles to decorate the cake with exactly 39 miniature Oreos.
Upon flipping my calendar to today, I realized it is one of the SWEETEST days of the year.
National Chocolate Day.
Need I say more?
This prompted me to run out and buy some……wait for it……CHOCOLATE!!!
Are you like me, and always looking to bless someone with a sweet little treat every now and again?
Nothing says “Celebrate” more than cute party hats, right? And the new Party Hats Border Maker Cartridge, combined with one of our beautiful designer collections, takes the party to the next level!
Here, I’ve made some Party Time borders using both the bold, fun, colorful Cake My Day collection and the soft, warm and playful Woodland Whimsy collection. Two totally different takes, but the party hats all say “Celebrate”!
Birthday parties and celebrations of all kinds tend to be fun and lively, so why not make your pages lively too? The Cake My Day paper and stickers combined with favorite Creative Memories tools will do the job

So, let’s get started!
Have you gotten your hands on the brand new Cake My Day product Collection? It is — So. Much. Fun! Such bright and bold colours, great patterns, and a funky fresh take on a traditional birthday theme.
While I absolutely love making cards of all kinds – I sometimes find that whipping up a batch of birthday cards to have on hand for when I don’t have time to create always seems to come in handy. You just never know when a birthday will slip your mind, your little one will come home from school and announce it’s time to go to a birthday party she forgot to tell you about, or life will just be too busy to allow for a bit of time to create a card on demand. When you’ve got a little stack that you can pull from in a pinch it’s nice that you’re still able to show how much you care by giving the recipient a handmade card.
What do you photograph at birthdays? I wanted to share a few of the things that I like to photograph on that special day in our home.
Do you buy a cake or make a cake for the birthday person? Is there a family favourite that you always make or buy? Is there a theme cake? I always try to take a photo of the cake so we can look back each year to see what creation I have come up with.
Grant’s Car Crash Cake was perfect for his 11th birthday! He loves anything to do with cars and racing so he loved his cake!
