These Birthday Borders Are the Perfect Present!

Whether you’re making a birthday layout for yourself or for someone else, including celebratory borders is a must! Find inspiration with the birthday borders below that were created with the Stacked Presents Chain BMC. They’re the perfect touch to making your scrapbooks extra special.

To create these borders you will need:

Celebrating You Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of the orange watercolor paper to measure 12” x 2-1/2” using the Scallop Blade on the Trimmer. 

Step 2: Cut a piece from Navy Solid Cardstock to measure 12” x 2-1/4”. Adhere to the orange watercolor piece.

Step 3: Cut a piece of White Solid Cardstock to measure 12” x 2”. 

Step 4: Cut seven pieces from balloons paper to measure 1” x 2”.

Step 5: Cut six pieces to measure 7/8” x 2” from the bursts paper. 

Step 6: Adhere the strips to the White Solid Cardstock piece, rotating every other one.

Step 7: Using the sparklers, dots and stripes paper, punch a border using the Stacked Presents Chain BMC. Save the punched out remains.

Step 8: Cut the borders into 2” increments. Adhere to the 7/8” x 2” strips of bursts paper using Repositionable Adhesive. 

Step 9: Adhere the White Solid Cardstock piece to the top of the border. 

Step 10: Adhere the stickers and embellishments to the border, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

It’s Your Special Day Border

Step 1: Using the Wavy Blade on the Trimmer, cut a piece of Navy Solid Cardstock to measure 2-1/2” x 12”.

Step 2: Cut a piece of Pumpkin Solid Cardstock to measure 2” x 12”. Adhere to the center of the border.

Step 3: Cut a piece of Baby Blue Solid Cardstock to measure 1” x 12”. Adhere to the center of the border.

Step 4: Using the Stacked Presents Chain BMC, punch a border from Navy Solid Cardstock. Adhere to the Baby Blue Solid Cardstock strip. 

Step 5: Using the remains from the previous border, adhere to the openings of the presents using Precision Point Adhesive.

Step 6: Cut two strips from orange watercolor paper to measure ¼” x 12” using the Wavy Blade on one side. Adhere about 1/8” from the edges of the Light Blue Solid Cardstock strip.

Step 7: Adhere stickers/embellishments, using Foam Squares for added dimension.

You Don’t Look a Day Over FABULOUS Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of Navy Solid Cardstock to measure 2-3/4” x 12”.

Step 2: Cut a piece of Bright White Solid Cardstock to measure 2-1/2” x 12”. Adhere to the center of the border.

Step 3: Cut a piece of confetti paper to measure 1-3/4” x 12”. Adhere to the left edge of the Bright White Solid Cardstock piece.

Step 4: Cut a piece of the sparklers paper to measure ¾” x 12” using the Wavy Blade on the Trimmer. Adhere about ¼” from the left side of the sparklers paper.

Step 5: Cut a piece of Navy Solid Cardstock to measure ¼” x 12” using the Wavy Blade on the Trimmer. Adhere to the center of the sparklers paper.

Step 6: Using the Stacked Presents Chain BMC, punch two borders from Navy Solid Cardstock.

Step 7: Using the Stacked Presents Chain BMC, punch one border using the bursts paper. 

Step 8: Adhere the bursts border to the top of one of the Navy Solid Cardstock borders, offset to the right about 1/8”.

Step 9: Adhere the bursts/cardstock border to the top of one of the Navy Solid Cardstock borders, offset to the left about 1/8”.  Adhere this border to the top seam of the Bright White Solid Cardstock and confetti papers using Foam Squares. 

Step 10: Adhere the bows from the Decorative Bows Embellishments. 

Step 11: Adhere embellishments to the border, using Foam Squares.
