Meet Us Monday: Carrie Hyopponen

In a past life, Carrie had a cabin nestled up in the woods on the MN North Shore, miles away from crowds of people.

Her cabin was equipped with a professional grade kitchen and her own library that had one of those tall slidey ladder thingys and a wall of windows overlooking the water.

She cared for a herd of cats and would spend her days making art.

She would eat as much pizza and buttered toast as she wanted because she wasn’t allergic to gluten or dairy.

Present day, Carrie works as an illustrator and graphic designer. Over the 14+ years with CM, she has honed and mastered her artistic skills, creating original works of art for scrapbooking fanatics worldwide.

Her absolute favorite part of the job is being able to draw, draw and draw some more. Occasionally she gets to create catalogs, website materials, flyers, logos, etc., but her true passion is creating products that will help become a part of something much more meaningful (scrapbooks).

Carrie has an unusual obsession with small pretty boxes, Halloween costumes and coconut flavored La Croix.

When Carrie is not creating art, you can find her in the kitchen whipping up a gluten-free meal, running on the treadmill, reading or chauffeuring her two beautiful children around to their abundant extra-curricular activities.
