Today is International Day of Families, and what better way to celebrate our favorite way to spend time together–gathered around the kitchen table over a home-cooked meal–than with a special recipe layout or gift dedicated to this pastime activity! Made With Love, a heartwarming new foodie collection, is perfect for gift giving and digital pages! I have a few ideas I wanted to share with you that quickly came to mind when I saw this kit.
Pinterest is my go-to place when I am looking for new recipes. We have a group of friends we get together with every couple of months or so and I like to find new and delicious recipes for our evenings together. I always have good luck finding yummy recipes; Pinterest never fails me!
On this page, I love the cutting board paper for my background and it goes so well with the rich reds. Tip: For my menu board, I made a rectangle shape the same size as the embellishment and used the eye dropper to sample the color from this embellishment so they would match. Then, I changed the opacity of this rectangle to 50% and placed it over the embellishment. I could then place a text box on this shape and it made the text easier to read.
Recipe Cards
I love getting new recipes and giving my favorite recipes to friends for them to enjoy. A wedding shower gift idea would be to make recipe cards with your own recipes or decorate blank cards for the bride to complete with her favorite recipes.
A nice touch is to add a photo of the food to the card.
You could print these with matte paper so they will be easy to write on and include a Creative Memories Dual-Tip Pen.
To add to the gift, you could put the recipe cards in a 13×9 Pocket Album.
Featured Chef
Feature a family favorite recipe or chef on a page layout. This could be added to your family scrapbook or a new project such as a Family Recipe Book. The 8×8 album would be a great size for this project.
Enjoy!
Beautiful layouts!
Thank you!
Love it!!!
Looking forward to using these for recipe book gifts.
