Our Life At The Lake

Summer is my favourite time of the year and I seem to wish the days away all spring to get to the cottage again!  Morning coffee on the deck,  lazy afternoons on the beach, snacks and refreshments on the boat and smores by the campfire are a few of the things we love.  Oh yeah… and taking photos of all of these wonderful memories!

Journal cards a great way to layer paper on your page that are sized and designed for mats.  The great thing about digital is though I stretched the Grey Wave Mat for the background paper.

As you can see layering is popular with my designs and I think I do this because I love all of the papers and try to find a way to use as many as I can on a page!  I have used the ripped edge function for the papers to allow the different patterns show on the page.  Everything goes so well together in this fun kit!

More paper ripping to reveal the background paper and a large title to fill in the space.  I used a text shape and filled the letters with the Green Scale paper.  I love all of the summer embellishments included in this collection as well.  They work well for beach trips, cottage life and lake livin’!
