Let’s wrap up the day by changing gears a little.
Let’s create a card.
You may only be a scrapbooker, but have lots of scraps left over from your layouts. This is the perfect way to use up those scraps.
Create a card of any theme, and you will be ahead of the game the next time you are looking for a card to mail out to a loved one, or attach to a gift you are giving.
Your card recipient will feel special getting a homemade card from you.
So, if you are not a card-maker, I challenge you to try it. If you are a card-maker—create away!
Challenge 3: Create a card following the sketch below. Take a photo of your completed project and post to the Facebook Event Page by 9pm CST (Friday the 15th) to qualify for the prize for this challenge

Tips for creating this card digitally:
- Lots of layering on this card and the vellum papers can be a bit tricky so you may have to play around a bit to get the look like.
- The scalloped layers were made with Shaped Edge tool. Make one edge and copy and paste and shift them left and right to have a staggered look.
- The greeting was created using the “Hello” title in green and orange and layer one over the other. the orange one was pulled slight to the right and down to give a shadow effect. A shadow was also applied to both the titles to give it even more depth.

I really need to make a Hello card, then once again, I see it is digital. Beth, I swear I could feel the textures of the layers and embellishments ! I also appreciate Marja and Krislyn’s more masculine approach, . It’s difficult for me to get inspired to create men’s cards. These are just perfect!
When the virtual crop is over, will there be something that could be printed of all the sketches from the challenges?
