Welcome Everyone!
We are so glad that you have joined us for our Fall/September Virtual Crop!
If you haven’t already, you will want to join us right on our Facebook Event Page!
If you have not RSVP’d saying that you will join us — you can do so now!
Here are some tips to best prepare for this event:
Gather some photos and scrappy supplies, get comfy clothes (or jammies) on, and crop the afternoon and evening today, and tomorrow- away with us from the comfort of your home.
We will host several challenges throughout the next 24 hours from our Facebook Event Page to inspire you (all Central Time): 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm; and tomorrow at 9am, 11am, and 1pm.
All of our challenges for this Virtual Crop will include a sketch. Make sure your project meets all of the requirements to qualify for the individual challenge prizes. Our objective is to HAVE FUN while creating meaningful scrapbook projects–hopefully sharing a tip or two along the way.
There will be one Grand Prize that will be given away at 5pm CST on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. All you need to do to qualify for the GRAND PRIZE is to submit one challenge/project to the FB Event Page over the next 24 hours. The winner will be chosen randomly. Wouldn’t you love to win this?
So, let’s get started with our first challenge.
Challenge 1: Create a layout following the sketch below. Take a photo of your completed project and post it to the Facebook Event Page by 5pm CST today (Friday the 15th) to qualify for the prize for this challenge.
Here are a few projects created by Advisors and Content Contributors for your inspiration.

Digital Spread created by Beth Thomander- Advisor; Nova Scotia, Canada
Bookworm
Fonts: Chalk line outline, Chalk hand lettering shaded
Tips to create this digital spread:
- To make the banners cut a triangle shape from the end or ends. If you want each banner to look different you can change the shape of your triangle and cut each banner individually or you can copy and paste to make them all the same. Fill each one with a different paper.
- To make the banner at the top cut an additional rectangle, layer over banner, add a shadow, flatten and add another shadow on the opposite edge. This give the illusion that there is a fold in the banner.
Thank you SO much for joining us for this Virtual Crop! As a way to show our thanks and gratitude for joining us, we are offering all Virtual Croppers a coupon code for $10 off a $25 purchase, which is valid between now and Saturday September 16th, 2017 at 5:00pm CST. Hi! Small detail – in the coupon code description you say the deadline is Saturday, September 15 – and I think you mean 16! Just to be helpful!!
I fixed it! :)
I saw that too!
Love all these examples! I would also like to see the size of the photos listed at the bottom, too. Maybe it doesn’t make much difference to others, but I am really literal when I try to use a sketch.
Right, Adrienne, I’m sure CM meant September SIXTEENTH. :-)
Thanks for a great beginning!
Is there a way to get the specifics for the sizes of the paper cuts on each layout? I’m especially interested in the Evergreen layout. Also, have the evergreen layouts been placed on another background paper, just wondering where the border came from? Hope I’m making sense.
She photographed it on her carpet. Is that what you are seeing? When we provide sketches, we do not provide measurements, so that everyone can make it their own. The sketch is basically a guide. :)
I’m not sure I posted right. The links to the event page take you to the May crop page. I ended up posting twice, but I’m still not sure.
Hmmmm. Let me take a look.
I am so sorry–One of the links was incorrect. I fixed it. So any of these links on this post should work for you. :)
I noticed that too. 👍🏻
I don’t know how to post my pages I completed
