Jewish Holidays Homage: Just in Time for a Sweet New Year

Shalom, scrappers! Today’s blog features the Jewish Holidays collection, which is perfect for all of your festivities year round — from the High Holidays (which are just around the corner!) to Sukkot, Purim and more. Our featured layout today is Passover! This Jewish holiday layout focuses on Passover — and pinpoints when we gather around the Seder plate… and even has some Matzah icons for those little ones who find the Afikomen! L’Shana Tovahs to all who will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah next week and we hope you enjoy these newest products!

To create this layout you will need:

Take a look at the whole Jewish Holidays collection in the video below!

Step 1: From the middle of the red Star of David paper, use the Custom Cutting System with the Jumbo Circle Cutting Pattern and the Red Blade on the inside edge to cut a circle. Use the Green Blade on the inside edge to cut a circle from the silver Star of David paper. Layer and adhere the pieces.

Step 2: Cut the Passover-themed paper to measure 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″ and adhere to the red Star of David paper to cover the hole. Adhere the jumbo circle pieces to the middle of the layout.

Step 3: Use the small Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade on the outside edge to cut a photo. Use the Green Blade on the outside edge to cut a photo mat from the red Star of David paper. Adhere the pieces to the middle of the layout.

Step 4: Use the hexagon Custom Cutting System Gemstone Pattern and the Red Blade to cut three photos and one piece of white Star of David paper.

Step 5: From the blue Star of David paper, cut three 1-1/2″ x 12″ strips. Position the upper-left corner of a strip on the dashed lines of the cutting mat strip of the 12-inch Trimmer and the upper-right corner on the 3/4″ line to the right of this cutting mat strip, and cut. Set aside this “starter piece.” Flip over the strip to the reverse side, and position the upper-left corner on the dashed lines of the cutting mat strip and the upper-right corner on the 1-1/2″ line to the right of the cutting mat strip. Cut. Continue flipping the strip over and positioning the upper corners as indicated to cut 24 equilateral triangles.

Step 6: Run Repositionable Tape Runner around the edges of the back of the photos and the white Star of David hexagon. Position triangles around the perimeter of the hexagons to create stars. Adhere the completed pieces to the layout as shown.

Step 7: Journal and add stickers with Foam Squares as shown.
