Cherish The Simple Things In Life With This Everyday Scrapbook Layout

As time goes on, many people come to find out that it’s the “little things” in life that gives us the most joy and happiness. Life’s simple pleasures can come in all shapes and sizes — getting a coffee with a longtime friend, the sun shining through your window with a good book in hand, the tail-wagging greeting from your pet after a long day at work, practicing meditation, baking cookies with your kids or grandchildren and so much more. And to appreciate what’s right in front of you and to remember these everyday (and extraordinary!) moments, you need to craft everyday scrapbook layout, like this special sensation!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use the dusted blue diamond tonal paper as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Using the white postcards tonal paper, ruler and pencil, measure up 2″ up from the bottom left corner and leave a pencil mark. One the right side/edge of the paper measure up 5″ from the bottom, leaving a pencil mark. Use the 12-inch Trimmer to cut from one marking to the other at an angle.

Step 3: Cut strips of various papers to measure 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Adhere to the white postcards paper. Adhere this piece to the bottom edge of the layout.

Step 4: Adhere border stickers to the angled edge of the previous piece, using Foam Squares on the triangle border.

Step 5: Cut two pieces of mustard ornate damask tonal paper to measure 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″. Adhere photos to the mats that measure 4″ x 6″. Adhere photos to the layout, using Foam Squares under the right photo.

Step 6: Cut a piece of the mustard ornate damask tonal paper to measure 12″ x 1/2″. Adhere to the bottom edge of the layout.

Step 7: Cut a piece of the mustard ornate damask tonal paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere to the top edge of the layout.

Step 8: Cut 3/8″ strips from the neutral vintage designer paper. Adhere to the layout to journal on.

Step 9: Adhere the rest of the stickers as desired, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

Step 10: Use Black Dual-Tip Pen to journal as desired.

What are your thoughts on this everyday scrapbook layout? What special, everyday moments would you highlight?
