To create this layout you will need:
- Tropic Time Paper Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Tropic Time Stickers or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Tropic Time Embellishments or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Tropic Time Variety Mat Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Island Waters Solid Cardstock or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Custom Cutting System with the Jumbo Circle Pattern or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- 12-inch Trimmer or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Navy Dual-Tip Pen or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Tape Runner or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Repositionable Tape Runner or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
- Foam Squares or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Step 1: Use a piece of Island Waters Solid Cardstock as the base of the layout.
Step 2: Cut a piece of the sunrise-sunset paper to measure 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″.
Step 3: Using the inside edge of the Jumbo Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut a circle with mustard sun tiles designer paper.
Step 4: Adhere circle to the upper-left corner of the sunrise-sunset paper. Trim off any excess with either scissors or the 12-inch Trimmer.
Step 5: Cut several rectangles that measure 2″ x 3″, 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2.” Mark the ends of each at the halfway point with a pencil (1″, 7/8″ and 3/4″. Trim from each corner on the opposite end to the pencil mark to create the triangles. Tuck the triangles under the edge of the circle. Trim away any excess with scissors.
Step 6: Cut two photo mats from the navy tropical leaves designer paper to measure 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Adhere to the layout.
Step 7: Cut two photo mats from the tangerine geometric weave designer paper to measure 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″. Adhere to the previous mats. Adhere two photos to the mats that measure 3″ x 5″.
Step 8: Cut variety mats in half, layering the lined piece with the navy piece, then adhere along the bottom-right edge of the layout.
Step 9: Adhere stickers/embellishments to the layout using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
Step 10: Journal and doodle as desired.

I’ve asked a couple of ladies from video’s on the Tropical bundle with no response. Does anyone think this bundle would work for a California vacation layout?
I live in California. The Tropical bundle would be perfect for a beach vacation. If you’re in the mountains while it’s snowing, the Polar Lights paper seems to me to blend nicely, color wise, with the Tropical, so you could use both and have a beautiful book of your trip!
