It’s this year’s Christmas Cheer products with a pastel twist, sprinkling gingerbread men, candy canes, peppermint candies, snowflakes, stockings and more throughout its festive fanciness. So while visions of sugar plums are dancing around in your head, envision making this muted Christmas scrapbook layout that is a definite treat!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use the dark sea green plaid paper as base page.

Step 2: Cut an 11″ x 5″  piece from snowy forest paper. Align on base page, 1″ down from top edge and adhere with Tape Runner.

Step 3: Trim one edge of light green ornaments paper with the curvy blade of the 12-inch Decorative Trimmer. Use the 12-inch Trimmer to cut the paper to 12″ x 3″. Adhere over lower edge of snowy forest paper.

Step 4: Trim one edge of word art paper with the same curvy blade on 12-inch Decorative Trimmer. Use 12-inch Trimmer to cut the paper to 12″ x 4″. Adhere the curvy edge over top of the light green ornaments paper, aligning the straight edge approximately 1″ up from bottom edge of base page.

Step 5: Mount 5-3/4″ x 3-11/16″ photo onto a large dark pink mat card. Cut a large teal mat card with white and green tags in half. Crop two photos to 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and mount one on each mat.

Step 6: Arrange and adhere all three matted photos to layout as shown.

Step 7: Cut a large dark sea green plaid mat card with white and dark pink tags in half. Mount one half in between two smaller photos as shown.

Step 8: Apply pink striped scalloped border stickers along top edge of the snowy forest paper and bottom edge of the word art paper.

Step 9: Add stickers and embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Step 10: Journal on white and dark pink tag to complete layout.

  1. The color palette is perfect for creating layouts from my mom and dad’s early parenting days back in the 1950s – 1960s. As well as the vintage Valentine colors from many many years ago. So if use different embellishments, doesn’t have to be Christmas or Winter.
