Share The Funfair With Admission Ticket Borders

Step right up, we have just the ticket for you — we’re admitting one and all to use the Admission Ticket Border Punch! Many of us scrappers like to keep (those not privy to scrapbooking may say “hoard” ?) old receipts, newspaper clippings, movie stubs, trading cards and tickets aplenty — train, concert, amusement park, plays, musicals, VIPers and more — in order to save and relive those treasured trinkets and memories. So here’s your ticket to the past with a few admission ticket borders!

Hint: You can also save your tickets and other bits of memorabilia in CM’s Peekaboo Pockets™! These clear, photo-safe pockets allow you to slide photos, journal mats or artwork into the pockets and use the adhesive strip to easily attach them to your layout pages or the album binding. And they’re repositionable, so if you want to change where you placed your pockets, you can easily move them.

To create these borders you will need:

Step 1: Cut a piece of diagonal stripes paper to measure 12” x 2-1/4” as the base of the border.

Step 2: Using the 12-inch Trimmer and the Wave Blade, cut a piece of red stars and dots paper to measure 12” x 1-3/4”. Adhere to the base of the border.

Step 3: Using a piece of Black Solid Cardstock and the Admission Ticket Border Punch, punch a border.

Step 4: Cut a piece of yellow checkered paper to measure 12” x 7/8”. Weave through the punched border. Adhere this piece to the border using Foam Tape.

Step 5: Adhere embellishments using Foam Squares for added dimension.

Step 1: Cut a piece of Black Solid Cardstock to measure 12” x 3-1/4” for the base of the border.

Step 2: Cut a piece of Light Blue Cardstock to measure 2-3/4” x 11-1/2”.

Step 3: Using the Admission Ticket Border Punch, punch a border from a variety of papers. Cut the tickets into individual ticket segments. Adhere the segments at different angles to the light blue piece. Use a scissors to cut any excess off the ends. Adhere this light blue/ticket piece to the base of the border.

Step 1: Cut a piece of Black Solid Cardstock to measure 2-1/4” x 12” as the base of the border.

Step 2: Cut a piece of light blue wavy stripes paper to measure 2” x 12”. Adhere to the border.

Step 3: Using the Admission Ticket Border Punch, punch a border using White Solid Cardstock.

Step 4: Using the inside edge of the medium Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut three circles from red stars and dots paper and three circles from blue fireworks paper.

Step 5: Place the circles behind each ticket, but place the edges into the ticket slits on the border as shown. Rotate every other hue. Use a scissors to cut off any excess.

Step 6: Using the inside edge of the smallest Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut six circles from yellow checkered paper. Adhere on top of the border but aligned with the circles under the border as shown.

Step 7: Cut a strip of yellow checkered paper to measure 3/4” x 12”. Adhere to the back side so that it is behind the three dots in the punched border and the yellow shows through the top.  Adhere this whole piece to the base of the border using Foam Tape.

Step 8: Adhere a embellishment title and enamel stickers.

Do you keep ticket stubs from amusement parks, movie theaters, concerts and more? Would you admit one (or all!) of these admission ticket borders for your next layout?
