Let This Wedding Scrapbook Layout Be Your “Something Blue”

Here’s your first look at the beautiful Something Blue collection! The brisk blue project below includes an elegant layered border created from vellum paper and the Original Border Maker System. If you haven’t used vellum paper before, then we encourage you to try something new — vellum paper is semi-translucent paper that layers beautifully over papers and mats, creating a unique frosted effect. To create this layout you will need:

Celebrate the bond of love, with a collection that you love — see the Something Blue products in the video below!

Step 1: Use the blue mini-hearts paper as base page.

Step 2: Use the 12-inch Trimmer to cut a 1? x 12? strip from the stripes paper. Adhere to the left-hand edge of the base page.

Step 3: Cut 1? squares from the white petite floral, navy petite floral, baby blue polka dots and baby blue love papers. Adhere them on top of the stripes paper strip as shown or desired.

Step 4: Adhere the “Something Old, Something New” 4? x 6? variety mat and one 4? x 6? photo stacked vertically directly beside the stripes paper strip. Adhere a border sticker over top of the seam.

Step 5: Cut a 5.5? x 11? rectangle of the dark green lattice paper. Punch the right-hand edge using the Original Border Maker System and the Scalloped Hearts Border Maker Cartridge. Cut one 2? x 11? strip each from the blue stitched lines, baby blue heart leaves and light blue leaves vellum papers. Punch the right-hand edge of each with the Original Border Maker System and the Scalloped Hearts Border Maker Cartridge. Layer the punched strips under the dark green lattice paper as shown.

Step 6: Cut a 4.25? x 6.25? photo mat from the gray diamond dots paper. Mount a 4? x 6? photo onto it. Cut a 4.25? x 4? photo mat from the gray diamond dots paper. Crop a photo to 4? x 3.75? and mount the photo on top of the mat. Arrange and adhere mats on top of dark green lattice piece.

Step 7: Add stickers, embossed and embroidered embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for dimension. Journal directly on base page to complete the layout.

  1. This is beautiful! I recently completed my wedding album or I would use this design! (My colors were peach and yellow though). Might get some of this collection any way. Love Vellum
