Bring a Splash of Pure Bliss to Your Layouts

Some memories just call for bright colors and a fun layout to match. This page combines the cheerful patterns of the Chasing the Sun collection with Canary Vivid Melodies 2 to create a design that feels right at home with pool days, summer adventures and those moments of pure bliss. With playful details and plenty of photo space, it’s a great way to capture the memories that make you smile every time you turn the page.

To create this layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use the orange designer paper from the Chasing the Sun Paper Pack for the base of this layout.

Step 2: Take a sheet of Canary Vivid Melodies 2 paper and lightly fold it diagonally from corner to corner. With the paper still folded, place it on the trimmer and cut the folded triangle in half. Unfold the pieces to create two corner sections, then adhere one of them in the lower right corner of the layout as shown.

Step 3: Using a piece of darker paper from the Canary Vivid Melodies 2 Paper Pack and the small CCS circle, cut six circles using the red blade along the inside circle. Cut each circle in half, then adhere them along the edge of the corner piece as shown. Use scissors to cut any excess paper from the edges of the base.

Step 4: Cut four strips of aqua designer paper from the Chasing the Sun Paper Pack to measure 1/2″ x 12″. To create angled ends, align one end of each strip on the 45-degree line of the trimmer and cut. Flip the strip and repeat on the opposite end. Adhere the strips around the outer edges of the layout so the corners meet neatly.

Step 5: Using Bright White Solid Cardstock, cut photo mats to measure: (1) 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and (3) 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″. Adhere the mats to the layout as shown.

Step 6: Adhere photos that measure: (1) 4″ x 4″ and (3) 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″.  

Step 7: Cut thin strips of paper from the aqua designer paper, then adhere them behind the opening of the “pure bliss” embellishment. 

Step 8: Adhere embellishments and stickers to the layout, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension. 

Step 9: Journal as desired.
