Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned card-maker, you’re going to love our new Soiree Collection!
The festive paper prints and super cute embellishments and stickers are perfect for card-making.
The possibilities with this collection are endless.
You can whip out a card in a few minutes or take more time to create something a bit more detailed. Either way the results are going to be fantastic!
For this assignment, I created three cards with three different difficulty levels for your inspiration. For each card, I used solid cardstock as my base – I like the texture and heft that cardstock provides. I also used Foam Squares to adhere most of the embellishments – I love the extra pop and dimension that they provide. And the gemstone embellishments provide a finishing touch of dazzle!
To make these cards, you’ll need:
- Soiree Paper Pack
- Soiree Embellishments
- Soiree Stickers
- White Solid 12×12 Cardstock Paper Pack
- Raspberry Solid 12×12 Cardstock Paper Pack
- Foam Squares
- 12-Inch Straight Trimmer
- Multi-Purpose Tool
- Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns
- Tape Runner
This first card is super easy but also super cute! I simply added one of the printed card fronts from the Soiree Paper Pack and a few embellishments to my card base.
Step 1: Cut white cardstock to 5.5″ x 8.5″ and fold in half.
Step 2: Cut out pre-printed card front from the Soiree Paper Pack and adhere to card base.
Step 3: Adhere embellishments and stickers with Foam Squares.
I spent more time on this second card by making a circle cut-out with our Custom Cutting System.
Step 1: Cut white cardstock to 5.5″ x 8.5″ and fold in half.
Step 2: Cut raspberry cardstock to 5.25″ x 4 2/8″ and adhere to front of card.
Step 3: Cut designer paper to 5″ x 4″ and adhere to raspberry cardstock.
Step 4: Use the custom cutting system with the largest circle pattern and blue blade on the inside edge to cut a circle out of the top part of the card. Press hard as you’ll be cutting through three layers of paper.
Step 5: Use the custom cutting system with the largest circle pattern and blue blade on the inside edge to cut a circle from the raspberry cardstock. Adhere this circle to the inside panel of the card positioning it inside of the circle on the front of the card.
Step 6: Add sticker to the raspberry circle and use foam squares to adhere stickers and embellishments to the front of the card.
Finally, I created a “Z-Fold Card”. If you get stuck with the instructions, just Google “Z-Fold Card”, and you’ll find an assortment of video tutorials online. Don’t be afraid to try this card. It really is easy to make, and the results are fun!
Step 1: Cut raspberry cardstock to 5″ x 12″.
Step 2: Position the piece horizontally in your straight trimmer and score at 4″ and at 8″. To score, run your multi-purpose tool down the arm of the trimmer. Press hard.
Step 3: Turn the piece vertically on your trimmer and make a small mark at the bottom at 2.5″.
Step 4: Diagonally cut the paper from the 2.5″ mark to the top corner of the piece. Fold into a “z” shape at the score marks.
Step 5: Cut designer paper to 4 7/8″ x 12″.
Step 6: Lay the piece vertically on your trimmer and make a small mark at 2 3/8″.
Step 7: Diagonally cut the paper from the 2 3/8″ mark to the top corner of the paper.
Step 8: Turn the piece horizontally on your trimmer and cut off three pieces with each piece being 3 7/8″ wide.
Step 9: Adhere the three designer paper pieces to one side of your raspberry piece.
Step 10: Add embellishments. I used foam squares for the embellishments on the front of my card, and tape runner for the inside embellishments.
The Soiree Collection is perfect for card-making, but it’s equally perfect for birthday and celebration scrapbook layouts! I’m sure that you’ll want two of this collection, and I guarantee that you won’t be sorry!
Celebrate Good Times!

Such wonderful cards! I love the Soirée paper pack and co-ordinating embellishments! Thanks for the how-to.
Love the “z” fold card! Thanks for the instructions :-)
Great Cards! I’m looking for the “Celebrate” word you used on the z fold card. I did not find it in the Soiree Collection.
Hi Angie! I’m glad that you like the cards! “Celebrate” is a die cut found in the Soiree Embellishment Pack.
