Virtual Holiday Crop: Challenge 5-Tags

Here we are–at the end of this wonderfully creative and memorable day!

We have enjoyed every minute here with all of you creative folks!  While you created projects today, we also hope that you made some memories!  I know that we have.

It was our pleasure to visit with you all on the Facebook Event Page–and thanks to each of you for sharing–sharing your creative talents, your special memories, your ideas for great snacks, etc.  We wouldn’t enjoy this day near as much without YOU!

Please help us in planning for our future Virtual Crops by completing a very short survey HERE!

Before we share our final challenge of the day, we would LOVE for you to mark your calendars for January 21, 2017 for the next Virtual Crop! More details to follow!

Remember those scraps we told you to save earlier?  Well, you can pull those out now!

Let’s turn those scraps into useful handmade LOVE!

Challenge 5:  Gift Tags

Create a set of four gift tags from your scraps.  Post an image to the Facebook Event page before 7pm CST to qualify for the final prize of the day!  #CMVirtualHolidayCrop

Tag #1:

Take one of the larger sized cards from the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack and cut it in half to measure 4-1/2″ X 3-1/4″ – This will become the base of your tag. To decorate your tag create two trees out of the Christmas Past Paper Pack (see instructions below). Embellish the trees using Silver Shimmer Paper punched out using the Midnight Star Border Cartridge (trim off the scalloped edge and use for the trim of the tree), the Shooting Star Punch, and the Star Border Cartridge. Adhere your larger tree down with Tape Runner and your smaller one with Foam Squares. Punch a hole and tie some ribbon!

Tag #2:

Take one of the smaller sized cards from the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack and cut it in half to measure 4″ X 3″ – This will become the base for your tag. Instead of the typical vertical tag turn your tag 90 degrees to create a horizontal design – showing off the bird image as your focal point. Cut the top two corners to create a tag shaped base. Add a grey snowflake to the bottom right of the tag and a green snowflake using a foam square above.

Tag #3:

Take one of the larger sized cards from the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack and cut it in half to measure 4-1/2″ X 3-1/4″ – This will become the base of your tag. Cut the top two corners to create a tag shaped base. Adhere the tree sticker down from the Christmas Past Stickers. Cut a 4″ strip of the Christmas Past Paper Pack pattern that is designed in borders (the mustard yellow strip). Cut flagged ends on either side of the strip and adhere it across the tag. Use Foam Squares to adhere the sticker that reads, “A Special Gift”.

Tag #4:

Take one of the smaller sized cards from the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack and cut it in half to measure 4″ X 3″ – This will become the base for your tag. Cut the top two corners to create a tag shaped base. To decorate your tag create two trees out of the Christmas Past Paper Pack (see instructions below). Embellish the trees using Silver Shimmer Paper punched out using the Shooting Star Punch and the Star Border Cartridge. Use foam squares to pop the title “Holly Jolly” from the Christmas Past Stickers across the trees.

Tag #5:

Take one of the larger sized cards from the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack and cut it in half to measure 4-1/2″ X 3-1/4″ – This will become the base of your tag. Adhere the sticker that reads, “Joy” using Foam Squares across the bottom of the tag. Tuck a small red snowflake circle sticker behind the top left side of the ‘J’.
