I always turn to my digital scrapbooking collections when creating cards, invites or posters for special occasions. Valentine’s Day is one of those times when I love to create cards for my loved ones and Valentines for my children to take to school to deliver to their friends and classmates.
Mi Amor digital kit has lots of embellishments to suit all ages from children to adults.
A 4″ x 6″ portrait card I created using the new Mi Amor digital kit. I love that there are perfect titles to add to cards and I can personalize the card by adding my own text box if I like as well. I could also add a photo to the card.
This is another 4″ x 6″ card that I designed with Mi Amor, printed it and added it to cardstock to complete my card. I can then add my personal note on the inside of the card.
After a fun photo shoot with Grant I love to go to my digital software to create cards for him to take to school. I started this as a 4″ x 6″ project and divided the card in half so when the card is printed you will have two 2″ x 3″ cards for the perfect size Valentines.
Another fun photo with Grant and I cut him out of the photo and placed him on the wooden paper from the Mi Amor collection. I added a clever title, left a space for him to personalize and printed multiples as a 4″ x 6″ photo for Grant to take to school to give out to his classmates.
One benefit about making digital cards is you can use the paper and the embellishments over and over again and you never run out. Another benefit is you design the Valentine once and print multiple copies!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I LOVE those tiny envelopes!!!! They are sooo cute!
Hi Beth! Long time no see!
How do you cut out the photo and then paste on the background? Thanks, Denise
Hi Denise,
I use Artisan to design pages so I used the Custom Cutting Tool on the Cut Ribbon to cut out something from a photo. I then put a background behind the piece I cut out.
Hope that works for you!
