January Virtual Crop: Challenge 2

Are you having FUN yet?

We are LOVING all the multi-photo layouts  that you are posting on our Facebook Event Page!

Let’s keep moving—so we can get as many projects completed today as possible!  It’s all about the completed projects!  …and having LOTS of fun!

(How many of you are still in your jammies?  We promise we won’t tell!)

Challenge #2:  Going In Circles—Some days I sure feel like it!  So, let’s create a layout or a two-page spread using circles.  Maybe it means cutting your photos into circles, or using circles as an embellishment to the layout/spread–or maybe even writing your journaling in a circle shape.  Show us your circles!  Take a photo of your finished layout and upload to the Facebook Event before 1:00pm CST to qualify for the prize for this challenge.

Layout created by Melissa Ullmann- US Home Office

To create this layout, you will need:

Denim Paper Pack  US CAN

Denim Embellishments  US CAN

Cloud Cardstock  US CAN

Foam Squares  US CAN

12″ Straight Trimmer  US CAN

Tape Runner  US CAN

CCS- Circles  US CAN

Step 1:  Use the light denim paper as the base for this layout.  Cut a piece of Cloud Cardstock to measure 11-1/4″ x 11-1/4″.  Adhere to the top of the light blue denim.  Cut a piece of the dark denim paper to measure 10-3/4″ x 10-3/4″.  Adhere to the cardstock.

Step 2:  Using the inside of the large CCS-circle with the red blade, cut out nine circles from different patterns of paper.  Adhere to the layout.

Step 3:  Using the inside of the large CCS-circle with the green blade, cut out nine circles from different patterns of paper.  Adhere to the tops of the previous circles.

Step 4:  Using the inside of the large CCS-circle with the blue blade, cut out eight photos.  Adhere to the tops of eight of the circles.

Step 5:  Adhere the flowers and buttons to the layout using foam squares.

Step 6:  Adhere the alpha stickers to the bottom right circle for a title.  Journal using dual tip pen.

Two-Page Spread created by Marja Deeth – Canada Home Office

To create this layout, you will need:

Hello Baby Boy Paper Pack  US CAN

Embossed Button Trio Punch  US CAN

Beige Cardstock  US CAN

Eggplant Cardstock  US CAN

Gold Cardstock  US CAN

Gold Pen  US CAN

Mint ABC/123 Stickers  US CAN

12″ Straight Trimmer  US CAN

Tape Runner  US CAN

CCS- Circles  US CAN

Start by using the CCS Circle Patterns to crate several circles in two patterns of the Hello Baby Boy Paper Pack as well as Gold Cardstock. Cut three additional Gold Cardstock circles to use as mats for some of the patterned circles. Cut one 6” Circle in the Beige Cardstock to use as a base for the title.

Print eight photos for the spread (you could add more or less) in 4” X 4” and 2” X 2”, cut them out with the CCS Circle Patterns as well. Take extra Gold Cardstock and the Embossed Button Trio Punch and make several buttons (for this spread we only use the small circles so be sure to save the hearts and scallops for another project!).

Adhere the photos to the centre of the larger and medium circles. Arrange the circles along the two page spread in a way that looks balanced and where no photos are being overlapped by other circles.

Adhere everything down with The Tape Runner. Put the two page spread into the 12-Inch Trimmer and cut along the gap between the two pages. This way your two pages will line up perfectly!

Embellish the spread using Gold Buttons and create a title using Mint ABC/123s. Finally, finish the spread by adding journaling using the Gold Pen.
