The countdown until Christmas has started for me!  Have you tried the Jagged Tearing Tool yet? If not, you need to put it on your wish list :) With this tool you can create flawless torn edges for your scrapbook layouts & borders. I loved creating this festive layout using the Sugarplum Collection along with the paper-tearing tool.

To create this layout, you will need:

Use the light aqua patterned paper as the base for this layout.

Cut a piece from the dark pink patterned paper to measure 5″ x 11-1/2″.  Use the less jagged edge of the Tearing Tool to tear away approximately 1/2″ from the paper. Adhere to the right side of the layout.

Cut a piece from the purple patterned paper to measure 8″ x 11″. Use the more jagged edge of the Tearing Tool to tear away the lower edge, at an angle from this piece of paper. Adhere to the top of the dark pink patterned paper.

Cut a piece from the light pink patterned paper to measure 7″ x 10-1/2″. Lay this piece of paper on top of the purple patterned paper. Use the more jagged edge of the Tearing Tool to tear away the lower edge of the paper, making sure it is the same angle as that purple piece. Adhere to the top of the purple patterned paper.

Adhere the piece that was torn away from the purple patterned paper, turning it over, to the top edge of the light pink patterned paper.

Cut 2 pieces from the dark blue patterned paper to measure 4″ x 4″. And 1 piece that measures 4″ x 3″. Adhere to the layout.

Use the Tearing Tool to create journaling spaces that measures approximately 1/2″ wide. Adhere to the layout and cut at various lengths.

Adhere stickers and embellishments using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
