The Little Lamb collection is not just for babies! There are plenty of neutral papers, stickers and embellishments that can work for all kinds of occasions and themes such as birthdays, trips to the farm and zoo, springtime and more! Take a look at how blog contributor Sandie used it to make a beautiful card for Mother’s Day!
Sandie’s Story:
Growing up, my mom was always scrapbooking. I think I have upwards of 10 scrapbooks from my childhood, so naturally, I’ve always wanted to follow in her footsteps. She called it “Playing with Paper” and I always thought she was SO great at it. It’s interesting that I went to an art school to get a degree in Graphic Design not realizing that I was sort of following suit. I absolutely LOVE scrapbooking but even more than that, I love making cards!

While the materials I used for this card were from the Little Lamb baby collection, I found cute butterflies within the mix. My mom loves butterflies, so I thought it was a perfect mix for her Mother’s Day card.

What You’ll Need to Create This Card:
- Little Lamb Girl Paper Pack
- Little Lamb Girl Variety Mat Pack
- Little Lamb Embellishments
- White Cardstock
- 12-inch Trimmer
- All-Purpose Scissors
- Tape Runner
- Foam Squares
Step 1: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score this at 4 1/4″ using the Multi-Purpose Tool and fold in half to create a card base.
Step 2: Cut a piece of pink floral patterned paper to measure 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Step 3: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
Step 4: Using a half mat from the Variety Mat Pack, cut the mat to measure 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
Step 5: Using the Tape Runner, adhere the half mat to the White Cardstock.
Step 6: Adhere the pink floral patterned paper to the front of the card.
Step 7: Add Foam Squares to the back of the White Cardstock with the half mat and adhere it to the front of the card.
Step 8: Cut a 1″ x 1″ square of the yellow patterned paper. Then, cut in half to make two triangles.
Step 9: Adhere those two corner pieces using the Tape Runner to opposite corners of the mat. Add Expoxy Gems to the tops of the triangle stickers.
Step 10: Adhere two of the three butterflies from the Little Lamb Embellishments with your Tape Runner to the front of the card. Using Foam Squares, adhere the last middle butterfly embellishment to the front of the card.
