Worldwide Virtual Crop 2020: Challenge #6

Okay, scrappers, it’s that magical time again — time for another challenge! This one is a card and border sketch, but if you don’t feel like making a card or border, you can always find a way to make it into a layout or spread!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to spam posts, we have had to change this event so that each post submitted must be approved by an admin.

  • All posts submitted from now through the 11:59pm CT deadline on Sunday will be reviewed and approved prior to the winner selection on Thursday, April 23.
  • Please give the home office team 4 hours to approve your post – we are working in teams across Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States to approve posts as quickly as we can now that the final sketch challenge has posted!
  • Thank you! This is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of this event for everyone!
  • IMPORTANT: THIS IS A FREE EVENT. If you see anything asking you to enter credit card information, it is NOT LEGITIMATE.

  1. Create a layout following the sketch below.
  2. Take a photo of your completed project.
  3. Post the photo of your completed page, spread or card to the Worldwide Virtual Crop Facebook Event Page AND add #CM1, #CM2, #CM3, etc., to the caption/comments. You will add the hashtag that matches the challenge that you are submitting. No words needed, just stick to the hashtag CM with numbers as this is a bilingual event! Feel free to use other hashtags as well, such as #WWVC2020 or #CreativeMemories, but BE SURE to include #CM1, #CM2, etc., so we can find your post. For Instagram users, you will need to add #WWVC2020 AND #CM1, #CM2, etc., so your post can be found.
  4. You have the entire event to submit all 12 challenges (some will post while you are sleeping). To see your final deadline date and time, check when your Facebook event ends; this will show you the date and time in your time zone. 1. Hi, I’m pleased to find that CM#6 is a card. If I prefer to make cards,
do I turn the layouts into cards? Thank you for these challenges.

  2. Thank you for including the envelope tutorial video. Can you share the dimensions of the card… the paper used to make the envelop was 8 x 8 but I missed the size of the card.

    1. Hey Theresa!
The envelope dimensions mentioned in the video are perfect for standard A2 size card which measures 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2. To create a card base for this size card simply cut your cardstock to 5-1/2″X8-1/2″ and then score along the 8-1/2″ side at 4-1/4″. Have fun!
