Add The Final Trimming Touch With These Creative Memories-Themed Scrapbook Borders With Zigzag Details

Yes, 12-inch Trimmers are a must-have CM tool. And you’ve got to have plenty of Tape Runners and Foam Squares in reach. The Custom Cutting System? Yes, please! But your toolbox cannot be complete without the Creative Memories Original Border Maker System! It makes it so fast and so easy to wake up a layout, card or border (like the ones below!) with the different shapes and patterns from the cartridges. Press your creativity with these Creative Memories-themed scrapbook borders featuring the Double Rickrack Chain Border Marker Cartridge (or BMC if you’re in the know)!

Psst, we think you’ll love its zigzag design, too.

To create these borders you will need:

Make Memories Border

Step 1: Cut a 12” x 3” strip with blue lenses accent paper for the base. Cut a 12” x 1-1/4” strip with multi-hued lenses accent paper and adhere near the top of the base. Cut a 12” x 3/4″ strip with light blue cameras accent paper and adhere near the bottom of the border.

Step 2: Using the Double Rickrack Chain Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with yellow pentagon designer paper. Adhere on the border as shown.

Step 3: Adhere stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Zipper Border

Scrapbooking-themed vertical border with wavy layered borders and a cluster of stickers.

Step 1: Cut a 3-1/4” x 12” strip with purple designer paper for the base. Cut a 3” x 12” strip with blue zigzag designer paper and adhere on the base.

Step 2: Cut a 2” x 12” strip with scrapbook sayings designer paper. On the bottom end, make pencil marks at 3/4″ and 1-1/4”. Place the strip in the 12-inch Trimmer with the top-right corner and the 1-1/4” pencil mark on the cutting line. Cut. Place the strip with the top-left corner and the 3/4″ mark on the cutting line and cut, giving you a long triangle. Adhere on the border.

Step 3: Using the Double Rickrack Chain Border Maker Cartridge, punch borders with Tangerine, Purple Ice and Island Waters Solid Cardstocks. Layer and adhere on either side of the triangle piece as shown.

Step 4: Adhere stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

  1. Absolutely love the Zipper border. Others are great also. The Scrap Happy Papers are some of my favorite to use for CM memories. The colors are also great for boys & others.
