Hitting All The Right Notes: Music Themed Scrapbook Borders And DIY Card

Music can set a mood, bring people together, amplify an energetic atmosphere and create memories, whether it’s listening to music at home, at a kiddo’s choir or band concert, at festivals or concerts, around a campfire, at a church service and much more! Well, if you want to jazz up your singsong sensations and musical moments, then tune in to these music themed scrapbook borders and DIY card — they definitely hit a high (and creative!) note.

To create these borders you will need:

In The Spotlight Border

Step 1: Cut a 12” x 3” strip with emerald green feather fan scallop designer paper for the base. Adhere a curtains border sticker about 1/4″ from the bottom edge.

Step 2: Cut a 12” x 1-3/4” strip with gold Art Deco fan scallop designer paper and adhere about 1/4″ from the top edge. Cut a 12” x 1-1/2” strip with White Solid Cardstock and mount on top.

Step 3: Using the Music Staff & Notes Border Punch, punch a border with Black Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the white strip.

Step 4: Add stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Let’s Celebrate Border

Step 1: Cut a 3-1/2” x 12” strip with navy bursts designer paper for the base. Cut a 2-3/4” x 12” strip with gold stars tonal paper and adhere on the base. Cut a 2-1/2” x 12” strip with White Solid Cardstock and mount on top.

Step 2: Cut 2-1/2” wide strips with several various papers. Hold the Music Staff & Notes Border Punch upside down and insert a strip into the punch. Punch once. Using scissors, cut off the 2-1/2” wide border piece. Repeat until you have seven punched pieces. Adhere as shown on the border.

Step 3: Adhere embellishments and title sticker, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Take A Bow Card

Step 1: Create the card base. Cut an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of White Solid Cardstock. Using the 12-inch Trimmer and Scoring Blade, score along the long edge at 4-1/4” and fold in half.

Step 2: Cut a 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” piece with feather boa designer paper. Adhere on the front of the card. Cut a 5-1/2” x 1-3/4” strip with gold Art Deco fan scallop designer paper and adhere on the bottom of the card.

Step 3: Cut a 5-1/4” x 1-1/2” strip with White Solid Cardstock and adhere on the gold strip. Using the Music Staff & Notes Border Punch, punch a border with Black Solid Cardstock. Trim off a 5” section (two measures) and adhere on the white strip.

Step 4: Adhere a 5-1/2” section of a lights border sticker above the gold strip. Adhere the “Take a bow” sticker using Foam Squares. Add gems on either side.
