Brighten Your Memories With This Everyday Layout

The best memories in life are also the brightest! Give them a scrapbook layout to match with this one created with materials from the This Life collection.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of floral designer paper as the base for this layout. Cut a sheet of blue stars paper to 11-1/4″ x 11-1/4″. (Tip: To conserve paper, you may wish to cut out the inside of the sheet leaving only the frame.) Cut a sheet of Kelly green cardstock to 11″ x 11″ and adhere on top of the blue sheet. Mount both on the layout at a slight angle.

Step 2: Cut a 6-5/8″ x 10-1/4″ piece with yellow grid paper and adhere on the right side of the layout. Crop a photo to 4″ x 5-1/2″ and mount on a 4-1/2″ x 6″ piece of red hearts paper. Adhere on the layout. Crop two photos to 3″ x 3-1/2″ and mount side by side on the layout, as shown.

Step 3: Cut one 3-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ strip with each orange suns, blue stars, yellow grid and red hearts papers. Cut three 4″ x 1-1/2″ strips with white cardstock. Holding the tab punch upside down (so you can see what you’re doing), insert one short edge of a white strip into the punch and punch just the end. Rotate to the other short edge and punch again. Repeat with the other two white strips. Adhere all pieces as shown on the left side of the layout. Cut three 3″ x 1-1/4″ strips with white cardstock and adhere on each of the white punched pieces.

Step 4: Cut a 2-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ strip with white cardstock. Punch one 1-3/4″ edge as in Step 3. Trim off the excess. Cut a 1-5/8″ x 1-1/2″ piece with white cardstock and mount on top. Adhere on the right side of the layout as shown.

Step 5: Adhere stickers and embellishments, popping some up with foam squares for dimension. Journal as desired.
