These Punch Projects Are the Cat’s Meow

There’s never a wrong time to show off love for your cats! Add a little something extra to your layouts with these borders created with the Feline Dine Punch and the Purrr-fect Kitty Cat Papers. Your layouts will truly be the cat’s pajamas!

To create these borders you will need:

Cat Life Border

Border by Melissa Ullmann — CM Independent Advisor

Step 1: Cut a piece of fish bones paper to measure 12” x 1-1/2”. Use this piece for the base of the border. 

Step 2: Cut a piece of Blue Solid Cardstock to measure 12” x 1-1/4”. Adhere to the base of the border. 

Step 3: Cut a strip of cat toys paper to measure 12” x 1/4”. Adhere to along the top of the Blue Solid Cardstock piece. 

Step 4: Using the Feline Dine Punch, punch a total of four food dishes and two fish bones. Adhere three pieces on both the right and left sides of the border, leaving space in the middle for the sticker cluster. 

Step 5: Use the inside of the punched pieces from the previous border (pink cat toys) and adhere inside the dishes using Precision Point Adhesive. 

Step 6: Adhere a sticker cluster to the border using Foam Squares.


Good Cat Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of the insert sheet from your paper pack (or scrap paper) to measure 12” x 3”. Use this for the base of the border. 

Step 2: Cut two pieces from the houndstooth paper to measure 2” x 3”. 

Step 3: Cut two pieces from the pink cat toys paper to measure 2” x 3”. 

Step 4: Cut two pieces from the fish bones paper to measure 2” x 3”.  

Step 5: Adhere these six pieces to the top of the border base. 

Step 6: Cut a piece of Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock to measure 12” x 2-1/4”.  

Step 7: Using the Square Punch, punch two squares from each of the following papers: houndstooth, fish bones and pink cat toys. Adhere to the cardstock leaving approximately 1/4” in between each square. 

Step 8: Using Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock, punch three pieces from the Feline Dine Punch. Adhere to each of the squares, along the top portion. 

Step 9: Adhere the “good cat” border sticker along the bottom portion of the squares. 

Step 10: Cut a piece from the blue plaid paper to measure 12” x 1/4”. Adhere above the border sticker. 

Step 11: Adhere the whole Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock piece to the base of the border using Foam Tape. 


Love My Cat Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock for the base of the border to measure 3-3/4” x 12”. 

Step 2: Cut a piece of houndstooth paper to measure 3-1/2” x 12”. Adhere to the cardstock. 

Step 3: Cut 12 pieces from fish bones paper to measure 1-3/4” x 1”. Adhere to the Houndstooth paper, staggering them as shown. 

Step 4: Using the Feline Dine Punch, punch six of both fish bones and food dishes from Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock. Adhere to the tops of the fish bones paper pieces. 

Step 5: Using the Feline Dine Punch, punch six pieces of each of the fish bones and food dish from pink cat toys paper. Adhere, so the pieces are offset from the cardstock pieces using Foam Squares. 

Step 6: Cut a piece of Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock to measure 3-1/4” x 1-3/4”.  

Step 7: Cut a piece of pink cat toys paper to measure 3” x 1-1/2”.  Adhere to the cardstock piece.  

Step 8: Adhere the cardstock piece to the border using Foam Squares. 

Step 9: Adhere the sticker title to the border using Foam Squares.
