Reel in Some Winter Magic With This Layout

Cast off to creativity with this ice fishing-inspired scrapbook layout! Created with the Flurry of Fun collection, this layout really breaks the ice for sporty scrapbookers. Whether you’re out their on the ice or enjoying fresh fish later in the day, this layout is sure to be a hit.

Layout by Krislyn Mattei — CM Independent Advisor

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a sheet of black cardstock as the base for this layout. Cut two 12” x 1/4″ strips with blue dots paper. Adhere one 1/4″ from the top edge and the other 1/4″ from the bottom edge of the base.

Step 2: Using the inside of the jumbo circle pattern and the red blade, cut a circle with broken ice designer paper, about 1/2″ from the top and right edges of the paper. (Save the circle for another use.) Trim the broken ice paper to 12” x 11” and adhere on the layout.

Step 3: Cut a 12” x 3-1/2” strip with red plaid paper and adhere it just above the blue dots strip on the bottom of the layout. Crop three photos to 3” x 3”. Adhere on the plaid strip along with a 3” x 3” piece of blue flurry paper.

Step 4: Trim two large variety mats to 4” x 6”. Crop two photos to 3-1/2” x 5-1/2” and adhere on the mats. Mount both over the “hole” as shown.

Step 5: Adhere embellishments, popping some up with foam squares for dimension.

Step 6: Cut 3” segments of Write On! Stickers and adhere as shown. Journal as desired.

  1. So cleaver to cut a big circle out of the ice paper. I love this idea and can’t wait to use it for my many ice fishing pictures.
    Thank you, Krislyn

  2. Oh my goodness, Krislyn, I love this one so much!! I always love the jumbo circle but it looks so great with the row of squares along the bottom. Thank you!
