Challenge #1

Layout by Noreen S. Creative Memories Home Office

Collection Used: Nordic Winter (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Noreen’s Tip: “I love when I can use the 1.75” Circle Punch to use up some scraps from favorite past collections! But even when you’re using scraps, make sure to repeat the same patterns, colors and icons throughout the layout to make sure it’s cohesive. The addition of the tiniest pieces in other places can make a big difference!”

Challenge #2

Layout by Noreen S. Creative Memories Home Office

Collection Used: This Life (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Noreen’s Tip: “Don’t forget about the This Life Krafted Rainbow Paper Pack when using the This Life collection… The neutral Kraft patterns provide welcome relief from the saturated bright colors and tend to ‘ground’ the whole collection.”

Challenge #3

Layout by Noreen S. Creative Memories Home Office

Collection Used: Flurry of Fun (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Noreen’s Tip: “To get the snowy trees pattern going across both the top and bottom triangles on this layout, I cut the 12” x 4” pieces from the same place from TWO sheets of the trees paper and then trimmed them from corner to corner in opposite directions. I pulled out the Snowflake Chain BMC to punch the four borders, then cut each border so they would stretch across the entire diagonal edge of the trees paper. I hid the gap in each border behind the horizontal photos. I finished each border by inserting snowflakes punched from other papers into the negative spaces for multi-colored snowflake borders!”

Challenge #4

Layout by Noreen S. Creative Memories Home Office

Collection Used: Sun Soaked (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Noreen’s Tip: “I cut the border punched with the Whitecapped Waves Border Punch in half horizontally to create double the borders. I used the larger wave pieces as indicated on the sketch and tucked the smaller wave pieces under the 12” x 3” strips to look like scalloped edges. And if you don’t have ten 2” x 2” photos to use on this layout, replace some of them with paper squares — they make the perfect ‘home’ for small accent embellishments!”

Don’t think we have forgotten about the Virtual Crop Tracker! Submissions will be due Dec. 31, 11:59pm CT (AU: 1 Jan., 4:59pm AEDT). Winners to be announced Jan. 8, 12pm CT (AU: 9 Jan., 5am AEDT).
