Pinterest Inspired Travel Scrapbook Layouts – Uncharted Collection

I instantly fell in love with our new Uncharted Collection! I love the color palette, the old-world and travel-related designs and most of all the embellishments!  As shown in my first layout, this collection is great for European vacations.  But you don’t need to be a world traveler to love or use the Uncharted Collection.  I found that it was just as great for photos from an Alaskan vacation.  My assignment was to interpret layouts that I found on Pinterest.   The first idea that I found  worked perfectly with our papers and embellishments.  For my second layout, I made a few adaptations and started with ourFast2Fab Predesigned Pages.  Make sure to follow Creative Memories on Pinterest for more page layout ideas and inspiration.

To create this layout, you’ll need:

Uncharted Paper Pack
Cool Serenity Paper Pack
Travel Solid 12×12 Cardstock Paper Pack
Uncharted Embellishments
Uncharted Stickers

12-inch Straight Trimmer
All-Purpose Scissors
Original Border Maker System with Crown Border Maker Cartridge

Step 1:  Cut two strips of the green cool serenity paper to 5” by 12” and adhere about 1.5” from the bottom of both sheets of taupe cool serenity paper.

Step 2:  Using Original Border Maker System and Crown Cartridge, punch two crown borders from the bright green cardstock.  Trim to about an inch, and adhere to bottoms of the green patterned paper.

Step 3:  From an assortment of uncharted paper, cut strips in various sizes.  Mine are 1” to 3” wide and 2” to 5” high.  With scissors, trim one end of each strip to a point as shown.  Rub edge of brown pen along sides of pieces to “chalk” the edges.  Adhere pieces to the tops of the green strips.

Step 4:  Adhere journaling box from slide-in cards.

Step 5:  Add stickers and embellishments as shown.  I used Foam Squares to adhere round embellishments to my buildings.

Step 6:  Trim and add photos.  Journal.

Step 1:  Cut a 3.25” x 8” strip from solid brown cardstock.

Step 2:  Cut ten 1.5” x 1.5” squares from a variety of uncharted paper and adhere to the cardstock strip.

Step 3:  Using Original Border Maker System and Crown Cartridge, punch two crown borders from uncharted paper and trim to about an inch.

Step 4:  Crop four photos to 4” x 4”.

Step 5:  Trim postcard embellishment to 4” wide and round the corners.

Step 6:  Using Word Bubble Punch, punch two word bubbles from uncharted paper.  Trim one into a cloud shape.

Step 7:  Adhere train embellishment and word bubbles to a slide-in card using Foam Squares to adhere the train and one word bubble.

Step 8:  Assemble pages as shown and add additional embellishments.
