Summer Loving!

I love summer!!  Who doesn’t love summer? This paper just screams summer fun!

There always seems to be something happening during the summer months.  Every year, our beautiful city of Kamloops hosts a rib fest, and every year our family goes and samples four of the amazing ribs they offer!  I am prepared to scrapbook this messy day with this double page layout using the Slice of Summer Designer Paper Pack, Slice of Summer Mat Pack and the Slice of Summer Stickers.

Slice of Summer double page layout

I used the orange dots patterned paper for the largest cuts.  Using the 12″ Straight Trimmer, I trimmed the paper to 12″x 4″ for the left page layout, and 12″ x 6″ for the right page.

Large cuts

Next, I cut the multi colored chevron page to four strips at 12″ x 3/8″.  I used the Scallop Burst Border Punch on the yellow pattern paper and trimmed it to 2″ after I used the punch.  Next I used our fabulous Border Maker System with the Footprints cartridge on the pink patterned paper. Trimmed this border to 1 1/4″.

All cuts

I used three of the mats from the Slice of Summer Mat Pack and trimmed them down to 4″ x 4″. Using the Custom Cutting System, I cut a 3″ circle around the I Love Summer Mat.

Here is the left page completed. This page will hold two 4″ x 6″ photos and one 3″ x 3″ on the watermelon mat.  Plenty of room for journaling on the fun multi colored line mat found in the Slice of Summer Mat Pack.  I used foam dots to attach the 3″ I Love Summer circle and the Fun! sticker.

Here is the right page completed. This page will hold a 6″ x 4″ photo on the bottom right and a 4″ x 4″ on the left of the Happy Day Mat. Also this page has a spot for journaling on the Summer Memories Mat from the Slice of Summer Mat Pack.  And how cute is the Scallop Burst 2″ border with those adorable summery footprints?

Can you picture some of your own summer memories on these pages? You can be like me and be prepared for an upcoming event or maybe you all ready have the perfect photos for this layout. Either way, I hope you make time to create this layout and to make some of your own summer memories.

Remember creativity is contagious…pass it on!
