Sugarplum and Vellum Holiday Layout

Have you used vellum on a layout?

I love how it softens the layout, and gives it a frosted look.

I had some older photos that this frosted vellum was the perfect match for.

You can add the vellum as mats or even as a larger piece to soften the whole layout.

To create this layout, you will need:

Use the multi-colored pastel patterned paper as the base for this layout.

Cut a piece from the yellow pastel vellum to measure 2-1/4″ x 9″.  Using a scissors, cut a “v” into one end.

Cut a piece from the pastel green pastel vellum to measure 2-1/2″ x 9-1/2″.  Using a scissors, cut a “v” into one end.

Cut a piece from the pastel blue vellum to measure 2″ x 8″.  Using a scissors, cut a “v” into one end.

Adhere the vellum pieces to the upper left side of the layout using Vellum Adhesive.

Adhere the 4″ x 6″ mat card along the far right edge of the vellum.

Cut a piece from the light pink patterned paper to measure 11-1/2″ x 3-3/4″.  Using a scissors, cut a “v” into one side of the paper.  Adhere this piece horizontally over the previous pieces.

Cut two pieces from the frosted vellum to measure 4″ x 3″.

Cut three strips to measure 4-1/2″ x 1/2″, 6″ x 1/2″, and 5-1/2″ x 1/2″.  Adhere to the lower right side of the spread for journaling.

Adhere embellishments and stickers as desired.

Adhere photos and journal as desired.

Happy Creating!
