Toil & Trouble Treat Bags

Boo!!  Can you believe it? The local stores are all set up for the trick or treaters, so I guess I need to start thinking ahead as well!  I thought I would make some special little treat bags for the young goblins that show up at my door.

The Toil and Trouble Collection is so bright!  I just love it! It’s perfect to get you thinking ahead to Halloween.

Toil and Trouble

You will need to gather your Toil & Trouble Paper Pack, Toil & Trouble Washi Tape, Toil & Trouble Stickers, adhesives, cardstock, All-Purpose Scissors, hole punch and some rafia.

Trim your paper or cardstock to 5 inches by 8-1/2 inches.  I used both cardstock and designer paper.  When using the designer paper, try not to press too hard when scoring.

Score at 1-1/4, 4, 5-1/4, 8.  Then score on the long side at 1-1/4.  Your paper should look like the above.

Now score between the 4 inch and 5-1/4 inch marks, but approximately half way down to the bottom.  This helps when creasing the goodie bag together. Also, make cuts as shown below using your scissors. This helps when folding up the goodie bag.

Add adhesive and fold together!

As you can see, I used both cardstock and Toil & Trouble paper.  The Toil and Trouble paper was easier to work with when folding.

I used the Toil & Trouble Washi Tape to wrap around each bag.  With the help of the Toil and Trouble Stickers, I was able to decorate each bag.  I finished off each bag with two hole punches.  Punch holes through both sides and add rafia or ribbon to secure the bag shut.

So stinking cute!!  These bags will hold a couple of treat size candy bars…perfect size for the young little goblins that dare knock on my door!!

I hope you’re not too scared to try these adorable little goodie bags!
