High Tides, Good Vibes Sun-Kissed Beach Scrapbook Layout

A tropical beach is a location that nearly everyone loves – my daughter included. She especially enjoyed playing in the surf and sand with her dad. I love how the bright colors of the Sun-Kissed collection capture the energy of the photographs. Once again, the Rolling Waves Border Maker Cartridge does not disappoint and I paired it with some of the border stickers to make an exciting, easy-to-create bottom border. This page really came down to the little details of the embellishments and stickers; I felt like I could have added ALL of them to the page (I resisted – I need them for other layouts!). What You’ll Need to Create This Layout:

• Sun-Kissed Paper Pack
• Sun-Kissed Embellishments
• Sun-Kissed Stickers
• Sun-Kissed Variety Mat Pack
• 12-inch Straight Trimmer
• Original Border Maker System with the Rolling Waves Border Cartridge
• Tape Runner
• Black Dual-Tip Pen

I love how the Peacock Cardstock looks with the Sun-Kissed collection. I adore the Variety Mat Pack and found the perfect page title in the middle of the pack. This page layout is relatively simple – cut two pieces of designer paper, trim and mat four images, cut two Rolling Waves borders and then the rest is just adding stickers and embellishments.

Step 1: Use Peacock Cardstock as the base for your page. Trim the coral-colored hibiscus paper to 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″. Use adhesive to mount to the center of the Peacock Cardstock. Trim the yellow pineapple paper to 11″ x 11″ and adhere to the center of the coral hibiscus paper.

Step 2: Trim four mats from the bathing suit patterned paper to measure: (2) 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″, (1) 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ and (1) 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Then, trim four photos to measure: (2) 4″ x 4″, (1) 2-1/2″ x 3″ and (1) 5-1/4″ x 4″. Mount the photos to the mats.

Step 3: Trim the “High Tides Good Vibes” mat down to 4″ x 4″. Adhere a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of lime green designer paper behind it. Hint: I used one of the ½ journaling boxes from the variety mat pack for this.

Step 4: Use the Rolling Waves Border Maker Cartridge and make a border with the Peacock and White Cardstock. Trim to 1″ each. Mount the white rolling waves border to the back of the peacock border, offsetting by 1/16″.

Step 5: Mount the yellow half-sun border sticker to the bottom of the rolling waves border. Adhere the coral hibiscus border sticker to the top of the yellow border sticker. Then, mount the second yellow border sticker upside down behind the hibiscus sticker, being sure to match up the ridges with the other yellow border sticker to give the effect of yellow discs behind the hibiscus border sticker.

Step 6: Using Foam Squares, mound the rolling waves/sticker border toward the bottom of the page as shown.

Step 7: Arrange the photo and title mats on the page and adhere. Add journaling and embellishments as desired.
