Family is definitely important; these are the people that you’ll spend the most time with throughout the years. All of the shared laughs, smiles, moments and memories lead to plenty of photos taken. Whether they’re candid or the (often unenthusiastic) family group photo, you need somewhere to put these photos! In today’s post, find out how to create the perfect family scrapbook layout with the Gather Together collection by reading what blog contributor Nicole put together!
Nicole’s Inspiration:
Who’s ready for fall?! I am totally ready and I decided to dig through my autumn photos from last year to create fun fall scrapbooking layouts.
Last year, my sister was a bit homesick, so my family and I all piled up in mom’s van to drive 45 minutes to see her. It was absolutely beautiful outside so we decided to take a few pumpkins to carve outside on campus. We had the best time just being outside, together… and best of all, we brought a smile to her face.
To create this two-page layout, you will need:
- Gather Together Paper Pack
- Gather Together Mat Pack
- Gather Together Foiled & Layered Embellishments
- Gather Together Stickers
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- All-Purpose Scissors
- Foam Squares
- Tape Runner with Repositionable Tape Runner Refill
- Black Dual-Tip Pen
Step 1: You will want to use three 3″ x 4″ photos for this layout. Using the All-Purpose Scissors, cut the floral frame from the Gather Together Mat Pack and adhere the photo to the mat. Use the All-Purpose Scissors to trim the edge of the photo so the width is not longer than the frame. Select two other mats to frame your photos.
Step 2: Cut one piece of the yellow patterned paper to measure 11″ x 11″, then mount it to the center of the white patterned paper. Adhere two of the mats approximately 1-3/4″ from the bottom of the yellow patterned paper as shown.
Step 3: Use Foam Squares to mount the floral mat, covering part of the photo so all the photos fit together.
Step 4: Adhere stickers and gemstone stickers as shown. Use a Black Dual-Tip Pen and a ruler to journal at the bottom of the layout.
I used the “Spending time with you” mat as my title. Then I used a Foam Square to mount the leaf sticker to add dimension.
I used the tiny flower corner sticker at the top of the frame and topped it off with a gemstone sticker to make the frame more fun.
Start gathering up those fall photos of yours and get scrapping with this beautiful collection! I just love the yellow and gray color palette. What’s your favorite products from this collection?! Comment below — and if you answer ALL OF IT, well, I can’t blame you. :)
