Add Some Hip to Your Hooray With This Birthday Scrapbook Layout

Modern birthday parties are said to get their roots from the 18th-century German celebration called “Kinderfeste,” held for kids and featured a cake adorned with candles. Fast forward to today, and there’s still so much to love about the big-day hooray of birthdays, from eating sprinkled cakes and ice cream to playing games, tearing open wrapped presents or simply reading a handwritten card from loved ones and friends! Check out this birthday scrapbook layout that captures some very sweet sentiments and fun flair!

To create this layout you’ll need:

instructions

Step 1: Use a piece of Fast2Fab™-Inspired Designer Paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Punch a border using the Cake Border Punch with the blue Happy Birthday wishes designer paper. Trim to measure 12″ x 1-1/2″ and adhere to the top border section of the base paper. Cut a 12″ x 1″ piece of blue Happy Birthday wishes designer paper. Adhere to the bottom of the layout. Cut a 12″ x 1″ strip of blue gingham paper and adhere above the blue Happy Birthday wishes strip.

Step 3: Mount a 6″ x 4″ photo on a blue and green dot variety mat. Crop two photos to measure 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Mount all photos on the layout as shown.

Step 4: Adhere border stickers as shown, popping the Happy Birthday banner border sticker up with Foam Squares for added dimension. Add additional stickers, embellishments and epoxy stickers.

Step 5: Cut three 4″ x 3/8″ strips of white “confetti” dots patterned paper. Adhere to the layout and journal as desired.

  1. I don’t know if I can narrow it down to just one thing! I love the banner, the cupcake border at the bottom, the matting on the large photo, the colorful papers, the little balloon animal sticker, the punched border, and the photos of the absolutely adorable birthday boy! The best part of birthdays? Being made to feel like the most important person on the face of the earth for one whole day! :-D

  2. I don’t typically like pages that have this much going on because I think it detracts from the pictures, but this page REALLY works. Love it. And as Barb said, I can’t narrow it down to just one thing’… Wonderful page !

  3. Is there anywhere I can find the specific sizes of circles the Custom Cutting system can make? I am considering buying the circle kit, but I need to know what the actual possible sizes are. Thank you!
