Hike to New Creations With This Nature Scrapbook Layout

In nature, the birds serenade us, the vibrancy of foliage catches our eyes and fresh, crisp air whooshes by and electrifies more than a cup of coffee could. All of our senses are awakened in nature. Not only are these experiences enjoyable, but they’re good for you, too! In fact, the act of hiking has been proven to have many health benefits, from physical exercise and building muscles to mental relief and acting as a mood-booster. Well, in today’s blog we’re saying you should take a hike… and then craft this nature scrapbook layout afterward to preserve your adventures from the trails!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of mossy bark texture paper as the base for this layout. (Tip: To conserve paper, you may wish to remove the inside section.) Cut a piece of Light Gray Solid Cardstock to measure 11” x 11” and mount on the layout.

Step 2: Trim and layer leaves, tree rings and mossy bark laser-cut borders and adhere to the bottom of the layout as shown. (Save trimmed off pieces to embellish the top-right corner of the layout.)

Step 3: Layer leaves and woodgrain and birch logs laser-cut mats. Tuck a 4″ x 6″ photo inside and mount on the layout as shown.

Step 4: Crop one photo to measure 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and one to 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″. Mount on the layout.

Step 5: Add stickers and journal as desired.
