Corral Home On The Range Memories: Country Scrapbook Layout

Many factors go into living in the countryside — knowledge on different varietals of plants, veggies and fruits, staying on top of the latest in mechanics and how to fix machinery, understanding stock commodity markets, figuring out soil restoration, undergoing pest management and crop protection, seeking the health and well-being of animals and livestock and so much more. And as a farmer or rancher, there’s no doubt it truly takes a diligent mixture of grit, pioneering spirit, determination, and hard work to get the job, or rather jobs, done. Well, for those who live home, home on the range, this country scrapbook layout gives a lay of this land and the love for rural livelihood!

To create this layout you will need:

• Wide Open Places Texture Paper Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Wide Open Places Variety Mat Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Wide Open Places Laser Cut Mats or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• 12-inch Trimmer or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Tape Runner or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Repositionable Tape Runner Refill or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Foam Squares or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Brown Dual-Tip Pen or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Step 1: Use the sheet metal texture paper as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Cut two pieces of the worn leather texture paper to measure 3″ x 3″. Cut in half from corner to corner, creating triangles. Adhere them into the corners of the layout, leaving 1/4″ around the outer edges.

Step 3: Cut the corners from the Southwestern laser-cut mat, then adhere to the worn leather corner pieces.

Step 4: Layer the ropes laser-cut mat on top of the rust barn wood laser-cut mat with Foam Squares. 

Step 5: Adhere 6″ x 4″ variety mat behind it all for the title of the layout. Adhere the whole thing near the top of the layout.

Step 6: Using a 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ variety mat, cut 1-1/2″ from each end. Flip over and adhere along the top and bottom middle edges.

Step 7: Journal with a Brown Dual-Tip Pen on the journal piece that is left.

Step 8: Cut three photos to measure 3″ x 4″. Adhere to the layout. Adhere the journal piece under the top mat and over the top edge of one of the photos.

Step 9: Using the pieces that are leftover from the Southwestern laser-cut mat that we cut the corners from, flip over and adhere along the top corner edges.

Step 10: Use the triangle pieces as corners, adhering above the photos and along the journal piece.
