Fish For A Creative Catch With This Water Themed Scrapbook Layout

As the old adage goes, “A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.” Even when the fish aren’t biting, on-the-water days are a great way to spend time with even better company. Well, if you catch fish or don’t, or perhaps just want to slow down, relax and enjoy the soothing lakeside, reel in this water themed scrapbook layout — you’ll be hooked!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of butter yellow abstract paint daubs tonal paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Cut a 6″ x 4″ cattails variety mat in half. Crop two photos to 3″ x 4″. Adhere along the top of the layout as shown.

Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 1″ strip of rolling waves designer paper. Using the 12-inch Trimmer and the Scallop Blade, cut the strip in half lengthwise. Adhere one to the top edge of the layout (overlapping mats and photos) and one to the bottom.

Step 4: Mount two 4″ x 6″ photos on two 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ ombré sunset daubs variety mats. Adhere on the layout.

Step 5: Using the inside edge of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade, cut three circles with a variety of mint papers. Using the inside edge of the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut another circle. Cut a “V” notch in each to create lily pads. Adhere to the layout along with stickers as shown.

Step 6: Journal as desired.
