Terrific And Photorealistic: Texture Paper For Scrapbooking

As a reminder, each quarter in 2022, new Totally Tonals will be released, and this quarter, we’re talking about all things texture — summer, zoo and autumn — in photorealistic designs! Well, if you’re keen on this iteration, then check out these three layouts that are definitely terrific and photorealistic! Totally Tonal Summer Textures Layout

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use the starry night sky paper as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece of White Solid Cardstock to measure 11″ x 11″. Adhere to the layout.

Step 3: Use the inside edge of the largest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern with the Red Blade to cut out nine circles from various papers. Adhere to the layout.

Step 4: Cut four pieces from the starry night sky paper to measure 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″. Adhere to the layout. Cut and adhere four photos that measure 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. 

Step 5: Adhere border stickers.

Step 6: Cut a piece of blue skies/ocean horizon paper to measure 4-1/2″ x 3/4″. Use a scissors to cut a “V” into one end. Adhere to the layout on the right edge of the cardstock. 

Step 7: Adhere White Sans Serif ABC/123 Letter Stickers to the layout for the title.

Step 8: Journal as desired.

Totally Tonal Zoo Textures Layout

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use the tall bamboo stalks paper as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Cut two pieces of the cheetah spots paper to measure 6″ x 6″. Cut each from corner to corner on the 12-inch Trimmer to create two triangle pieces.

Step 3: Cut 1″ strips from the other papers. Adhere at an angle along the edge of the squares, repeating with each strip. Trim off any excess with a scissors.

Step 4: Adhere the triangle pieces in the corners of the layout.

Step 5: Cut two mats from White Solid Cardstock to measure 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″. 

Step 6: Cut two mats from Black Solid Cardstock to measure 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Adhere the black to the top of the white mat. Adhere photos that measure 6″ x 4″. Adhere to the layout.

Step 7: Cut four strips from the zebra stripes paper to measure 1/4″ x 12″. Adhere to the layout near the outside edges, approximately 1/4″ from the edges.

Step 8: Cut four strips from the scaly reptile skin paper to measure 1/4″ x 12″. Adhere next to the previous pieces along the outer edges.

Step 9: Adhere border stickers along the angled paper strips. 

Step 10: Adhere Black Sans Serif ABC/123 Letter Stickers to the layout for the title.

Step 11: Journal using a Black Dual-Tip Pen.

Totally Tonal Autumn Textures Layout

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use the tree rings paper as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Cut two pieces of leaves paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere along the top and bottom edges of the layout.

Step 3: Cut two pieces of foggy window with raindrops paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere on the top and bottom edges of the previous strips.

Step 4: Cut two pieces of acorns paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere along the top and bottom edges of the previous strips.

Step 5: Cut two pieces of burnt orange knitted sweater paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere along the top and bottom edges of the previous strips. Adhere border stickers in between each of the strips.

Step 6: Cut two pieces of green linen paper to measure 1″ x 12″. Adhere along the right and left edges of the layout. Adhere border stickers along the edges of the green linen paper.

Step 7: Cut three photo mats to measure 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Adhere to the layout.

Step 8: Cut three photos to measure 4″ x 4″. Adhere to the photo mats.

Step 9: Adhere Brown Serif ABC/123 Letter Stickers for the title.

Step 10: Journal as desired using Brown Dual-Tip Pen.

  1. Very cute! I did Totally Tonal Zoo layout, but I cut the corner triangles off from the bamboo stalks paper and reversed the triangles to the cheetah print side. Then I didn’t have to use another sheet of paper!
