A Halloween Scrapbook Layout To Lift Your Spirits

Halloween is a real scream — hocus-pocus, thrills and chills, magic and mystery, paranormal pasts and more! Well, if you’re in the spirit (literally!) for Halloween this year (it’s this Monday, by the way) then make this Halloween scrapbook layout from blog contributor Sachiyo Omitsu that will have all you ghouls and goblins saying it’s a treat!

Halloween layout with a large ghost background, spider web embellishments and two placeholders for photos.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Cut a piece of the light distressed paper to measure 11″ x 9″ and add to the moondance paper as shown. Use this as the base of this layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece of Purple Ice Solid Cardstock to measure 8″ x 10″ and draw a “ghost” with pencil as shown. Cut along the line. Using the inside oval pattern from the smallest heart Gemstone Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut out two eyes from the ghost piece. Ink the edges with the Black Dual-Tip Pen.

Step 3: Cut a piece of Black Shimmer Solid Cardstock to measure 1″ x 8″ and 7″ x 4″. Draw a hat brim and hat freehand. Cut along the line. Cut a piece of Pumpkin Solid Cardstock to 1/2″ width and add between the hat brim and hat. Trim the excess with scissors.

Step 4: Adhere the ghost to the page. Use some Foam Squares around the eyes to give some dimensions.

Step 5: Cut a piece of the orange crescent moons paper to measure 2-1/16″ x 12″. Use the Spider Webs Frame Punch to punch both sides to make the border. Add to the bottom of your page.

Step 6: Cut two mats to measure 4″ x 5″ from a piece of White Solid Cardstock. Ink the edges with the Black Dual-Tip Pen. Add to the page.

Step 7: Adhere stickers and embellishments, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

How are you celebrating Halloween this year? What do you think of this ghostly great Halloween scrapbook layout?
