Summer-themed scrapbook layout with three photos of a girl at the beach, a fun summer to-do list, decorative paper beach balls and embellishments.

To create this layout you will need:

Say hello to the Sweet Summer collection in the video below.

Step 1: Use a piece of beach scene paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Cut two 4” x 4” pieces of coral suns paper and one 4” x 4” dark sea green summer icons and phrases paper for photo mats. Crop three photos to 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” and mount them on the mats. Adhere to the layout as shown.

Step 3: Mount the “Summer top 10” variety mat on a 4-1/2” x 6-1/2” tangerine seastars variety mat. Adhere to the layout as shown.

Step 4: Create three “beach balls.” Using the inside edge of the largest Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut three circles with white sand dots paper. Cut one circle each with coral suns, dark sea green summer icons and phrases and purple ice wavy tiles papers. Stack the three papers and place on the middle of the 13×30 Custom Cutting System Mat. Place the smallest Oval Custom Cutting System Pattern on top so that the oval’s right edge meets the two vertical lines on the mat. Trace the arc with a pencil. Place the second-smallest Oval Custom Cutting System Pattern on the circle so that the oval’s top edge meets the 30-degree lines as shown. Trace the arc with a pencil. Place the same oval pattern on the circle so that the oval’s bottom edge meets the other two 30-degree lines as shown. Trace the arc with a pencil. Keeping the circles stacked, cut apart at the lines. Apply Repositionable Tape Runner to the pieces and adhere to the white sand dots circles, alternating hue, as shown. Using a hole punch, punch three small circles from a part of a paper with a light aqua hue (e.g., skies or water waves papers). Adhere to the “middle” of the beach balls. Adhere the beach balls to the layouts as shown.

Step 5: Add embellishments and stickers.

Step 6: Journal as desired.

Are you feeling the heat (or a much-needed cool down from the blazin’ sun) from this summer scrapbook layout? What memories or fun to-do’s would you document on it?
