Splash On Your Pool Party Days With This Summer Scrapbook Layout

Sweltering, sizzling temperatures, spritzers on ice in the cooler and sunshine aplenty, summer is such a good time. And that calls for a pool party to cool down! Do so with this summer scrapbook layout!

Summer-themed scrapbook layout with three photos of friends at a pool, mats with journaling, laser borders and embellishments.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of white sand dots paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Cut a 12” x 4-3/4” strip with water waves paper. Using a pencil, trace a laser-cut embellishment border on the top. Cut out and adhere on the bottom of the layout. Top with the embellishment border. Cut a 12” x 1-1/2” strip with water waves paper. Trace the other laser-cute embellishment border on the top, cut out and adhere on the bottom of the layout. Top with the laser border.

Step 3: Trim the “Sunkissed” variety mat to 3-7/8” x 5-7/8” and mat on a 4” x 6” piece of suns paper. Adhere on the layout. Crop two photos to 3” x 3” and one photo to 6” x 3”. Adhere all on the layout, as shown. Cut a 1/4” x 6” strip with suns paper and tuck behind the right side of the photos.

Step 4: Cut a 4-1/2” x 6-1/2” ruled mat in half. Tuck in the waves as shown. Journal as desired.

Step 5: Add embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

  1. Love the bottom of this layout with the blue wavy water and border. Trace and cut out? I thought it was a border punch? Can you elaborate a bit more to clarify for me? Thank you!
