Dock At Project Perfection With This Nautical Scrapbook Layout With Laser Cut Details

Move over Caribbean, Mediterranean and the Mexican Riviera.

Many may think of taking a cruise as sailing to exotic, tropical ports. But cold-weather cruising is hot, hot, hot, with destinations like Norway, Greenland, Alaska and even Antarctica to take in the vast wilderness, inlets and fjords, wildlife (hello, seals, orcas, puffins, bears, mountain goats and bald eagles!) and more. Well, after your brisk adventures and portside pictures, make this nautical scrapbook layout!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use tan word art paper for the base of the layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece of the green forest paper to measure 12” x 1-1/4”. Adhere to the bottom edge of the layout.

Step 3: Cut small pieces of navy waves paper to adhere behind the openings of the mountains laser-cut border.

Step 4: Adhere all the laser-cut borders and laser-cut mats to the layout. Trim off a small (1/2”) edge of the green nautical rope laser-cut mat.

Step 5: Using the outside edge of the medium Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern with the Red Blade, cut a circle from green forest paper. Run your fingernail under the edge of the paper to give it a distressed look. Adhere to the upper-left corner of the layout.

Step 6: Using the inside edge of the largest Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern with the Red Blade, cut two photos, placing one behind the laser-cut porthole frame opening and the other on the green forest circle.

Step 7: Adhere stickers, using Foam Squares on some for additional dimension.

Step 8: Journal as desired.

What do you think of all the laser-cut elements on this nautical scrapbook layout? Have you ever taken a cold-weather or cold-water cruise? If so, where?
