August Completed Album Challenge PLUS A Fall-Themed Scrapbook Layout

There is a cooling, whimsical whisper in the wind, calling for snuggly sweater-weather days with a pumpkin-spiced latte (or PSL for short) in hand. Glorious hues inundate saplings and shrubs change to reds, oranges, yellows and umbers. We hunker down in our homes — cooking homemade soups, reading books by the fireplace and watching movies with loved ones. Whether you’re harvesting crops or seeking to harvest memories, the Autumn Harvest collection will be your pick of the products patch for layouts and projects of gathering apples at an orchard, carving pumpkins, taking scenic drives in the country to ooh and aah at the vibrant foliage, attending autumnal festivals, football games and upcoming get-togethers like Halloween, Oktoberfest, Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving! Embrace the changing season and this latest CM collection by spicing up your crafting with this fall-themed scrapbook layout!

And here’s an extra treat — the eighth iteration of this year’s Completed Album Challenge starts today!

If you completed an album this month (does not need to be from start to finish in August, just completed in August), make a short video flipping through each of the pages in your newly completed album. Then, post your video in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group with the hashtag #CompletedAugust2023 for the chance to win!

Take a look at the Autumn Harvest collection in the video below.

Step 1: Use Cranberry Solid Cardstock as the base for the layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece of blue tonal leaves vellum paper to measure 11-1/2” x 11-1/2”. Adhere to the layout at an angle using vellum adhesive. Trim off any excess paper using scissors.

Step 3: Cut a piece of Beige Solid Cardstock to measure 11-1/2” x 11-1/2”. Cut out the inside with the 12-inch Trimmer, leaving a 1/2” frame. Adhere at an angle to the layout.

Step 4: Layer a small journal mat on top of a large mat. Adhere to the lower-right side of the layout.

Step 5: Cut two photo mats from the yellow birch leaves paper to measure 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”. Adhere above the mats. Adhere photos that measure 3” x 4”.

Step 6: Cut a photo mat from the maple leaves paper to measure 3-3/4” x 5-1/4”. Adhere to the layout. Adhere a photo that measures 3-1/2” x 5”.

Step 7: Adhere embellishments and stickers to the layout, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

Step 8: Cut out a photo using the inside of the largest Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Green Blade.  Adhere the photo to some circle embellishments.

Step 9: Journal as desired.
