As soon as the holiday season arrives to town — like Santa on his sleigh — grocery store shelves are stacked high with tasty, festive treats like milk chocolate Santas, trees and gelt, hot cocoa and mini marshmallow kits, gingerbread houses, Linzer, snickerdoodle and frosted cookies, almond bark, fruitcakes… the sugar-ladened list goes on and on! And candy canes are also a sweet, minty emblem of the season, being used everywhere as decoration, a kiddo’s calming pacifier, a crunchy baking element or as a stirring stick for a pepperminty cup of coffee… and as a integral part of these Christmas scrapbook borders!

Step 2: Using the 12-inch Trimmer and the Scallop Blade, cut a 12” x 2-1/4” strip with White Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the border.
Step 3: Using the Candy Cane Stripe Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with mini candy canes paper. Trim to 12” x 2” and adhere on the white strip. Cut a 12” x 1/2″ strip with mini trees paper and mount on the border.
Step 4: Adhere stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares for dimension.
Christmas Tree Border

Step 1: Cut a 12” x 3-1/4” strip with red plaid tonal designer paper for the base. Cut a 12” x 2-3/4” strip with mini trees paper and adhere on the base.
Step 2: Lightly score gold ornaments designer paper at 1-1/2” the length of the sheet. Gently fold. Using a ruler and pencil, make a mark 1-7/8” in from the folded edge on both sides of the paper. Place the paper in the paper holder of the Original Border Maker System, folded side toward the “drawer,” so that the pencil mark is just at the edge of the magnetic holder. (The folded edge will be approximately 1/4″ from the edge of the edge of the drawer.) Using the Candy Cane Stripe Border Maker Cartridge, punch every other “stop” (three times total). Flip the paper to the reverse side, place the paper in the paper holder of the Border Maker System, folded side toward the “drawer,” so that the pencil mark is just at the edge of the magnetic holder. Punch the remaining “stops.” Unfold the paper and trim to 12” x 2-1/2”. Adhere on the border.
Step 3: Adhere stickers, popping the titles up with Foam Squares for dimension.
Season of Joy Border

Step 1: Cut a 2-3/4” x 12” strip with red plaid tonal designer paper for the base. Cut a 2” x 12” strip with white plaid designer paper and adhere on the base.
Step 2: Using the Candy Cane Stripe Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with Dark Green Solid Cardstock. Trim to 2” x 12”. Flip the strip to the reverse side and punch the other side, using sticky notes to hold the paper in place on the paper holder. Cut a 2” x 12” strip with Avocado Solid Cardstock and adhere behind the punched strip. Cut the edges off both long sides, making a tree-like design that’s 1-1/2” wide. Adhere on the border.
Step 3: Layer and adhere ornament embellishments. Add stickers.
