Let’s Team Up To Support The Alzheimer’s Association
About a year ago, Advisor Nicole Soh of Alabama reached out to me (CEO Alison Dutton) with an inspiring motivation — we could do more. We could do more to help people save memories. We could do more to save important family stories.
In June 2023, Nicole hosted her first Longest Day fundraising crop to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. She was inspired and she inspired me.

Over the past few months in collaboration between our Product Development team, including Noreen Smith and the Alzheimer’s Association of Alabama Longest Day Manager Cecile Brown and Executive Director Jessica Miller of Alabama, we put together a collection of products to do just that — help more people save their family memories.
It’s been a pleasure to work with Cecile and Jessica from the Alzheimer’s Association and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned that dementia, which touches so many of our families, including my own, is an umbrella term for loss of memory. I’ve learned that while four in 10 Americans talk to their doctor right away when experiencing early memory or cognitive loss, the Alzheimer’s Association provides a free 24/7 hotline available 365 days a year where specialists and master’s level clinicians offer confidential support and information to people living with dementia, caregivers, families and the public (800.272.3900).

And importantly, I’ve learned that any of us can host a Longest Day fundraiser to support the Alzheimer’s Association. If you are interested in how Nicole’s fundraiser works, I encourage you to save the date for next weekend when PD Creative Manager Noreen Smith, who is passionate about supporting the Alzheimer’s Association for personal reasons, will be at Nicole’s event in Alabama and they will go live from the event in the Virtual Crop Group. Join the Virtual Crop Group to tune in next weekend. Nicole is abundant in her mindset and cannot wait to see what you all do with this fundraising idea. I know that Advisor Kathy Congreve of Illinois is already inspired and planning her own Longest Day crop.
As part of this collaboration, there is a set of My Life Mini Buttons (3/pk) and Digital Artwork for purchase where all profits will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. I am thrilled that we’re able to fundraise as a Home Office with you for this wonderful organization. And, we encourage Advisors to donate your earnings from the buttons and digital kit to the Alzheimer’s Association as well (Advisors receive earnings on all products).

In addition, there are coordinating memory care stickers, purple scissors, two 8×8 album covers and a paper album that were intentionally designed by our team in collaboration with Advisors to help a person or family create an album about a family member. We all know that nothing is more powerful than having an album that you can hold and know that you are loved.
Thank you for all that you do every day to help the people around you save their family memories! And please save the date for next weekend where you can tune into the Virtual Crop Group to see videos from Nicole and Noreen. I cannot wait to see what we can do together!

About the Longest Day
The Longest Day® is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. The Longest Day participants fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all other dementia through a fundraising activity of their choice on a day that works for them. With sports tournaments, card games, parties, baking and more, participants raise funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.

We all know that nothing is more powerful than having an album that you can hold and know that you are loved. Designed to celebrate family and everyone we love, the My Life collection is intended to help you make an 8×8 album. It includes two 8×8 album covers, an 8×8 paper album and stickers.

Additionally, you can give the gift of memory by purchasing the My Life Mini Buttons (3/pk) and Digital My Life Kit, for which profits will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Thank you so much for this! This is such a beautiful thing to do. I put in my order and see that already one of the albums is out of stock! I’m sad for me but so glad for all of this and being able to be part of a community that’s helping the Alzheimer’s association.
I really love this idea, as to me that’s what scrapbooking is all about, saving our memories. We should all do an album about ourselves for future generations to read about our life. Great idea CM ?
