June Completed Album Challenge PLUS A Baby Scrapbook Layout

The June Completed Album Challenge is upon us, which means scrapbookers from all over are working on finishing an album they’re working on. If you’re one of these scrapbookers and are looking for inspiration, check out this baby scrapbook layout featuring materials from the Welcome Baby collection! Celebrate the arrival of a new little one in your life with this adorable design (which can also be replicated in blue!). Read on to learn how to recreate this layout and how to participate in the June Completed Album Challenge.

If you completed an album this month (does not need to be from start to finish in June, just completed in June), make a short video flipping through each of the pages in your newly completed album. Then, post your video in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group with the hashtag #CompletedJune2024 for the chance to win!

Here’s an example of what your Completed Album Challenge video could look like!

For ALL the details on the Completed Album Challenge, check out this blog post.

Layout by Krislyn Mattei — CM Independent Advisor

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of purple clouds paper as the base for this layout. (Tip: You may wish to cut out the inside to conserve paper. I recommend a frame of 3/4? or 1?.) Cut a piece of scattered bits paper to 11-1/2? x 11-1/2? and adhere on the base.

Step 2: Using the Circle Punch, punch six circles along one gradient edge of the purple ombre paper and adhere them along the top of the scattered bits piece, about 3/8? from the top edge. Cut the rest of the ombre paper to 10-5/8? x 8-1/4? and adhere on the layout as shown.

Step 3: Using the 12-inch Trimmer and the Wave Blade, cut two 11-1/2? x 1/2? strips with scallop stripes paper and one 11-1/2? x 1/2? strip with rainbows paper. Adhere on the layout as shown. Cut a 7? x 1/2? strip with rainbows paper. Fold the ends under until they meet in the middle to create a bow. Cut a 3/4? x 3/8? strip with ombre paper scraps and wrap around the middle of the bow. Adhere on the layout as shown.

Step 4: Cut a 4-3/8? x 6-3/8? photo mat with Beige Solid Cardstock. Crop a photo to 3-3/4? x 5-3/4? and mount on a 4? x 6? piece of White Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the beige piece and mount on the layout as shown. Crop a photo to 4-3/4? x 3-1/4? and mount on a 5? x 3-1/2? piece of White Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the layout.

Step 5: Adhere a journal box embellishment on the layout. Add additional embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for dimension.

Step 6: Journal as desired.

  1. What a beautiful album of Lucy – so sorry for your loss – I appreciate you sharing with us her story to help others who have gone through similar experiences and how to document. One day you will know when you are ready to journal.
