Core Creativity: School Themed Scrapbook Layout
As summer winds down and back-to-school events pop up, there’s lots of amazing moments coming up that you’ll want you and your kids to remember for years to come. What better way than this adorable school-inspired layout?! You’ll want to grab supplies from the School Dayz collection and the Whirls & Swirls Titletopia to make this scholastic page!

Step 1: Use a sheet of White Solid Cardstock as the base for this layout.
Step 2: Cut a 12” x 6-1/2” piece with pink grid paper and adhere on the layout 1/2″ from the bottom edge. Using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Wave Blade, cut a 12” x 1/2″ strip with Canary Solid Cardstock. Tuck it underneath the bottom edge of the pink piece so just the wave edge shows. Cut a 12” x 1/4″ strip with green grid paper (from the School Dayz Annual Paper Pack) and adhere near the bottom of the pink piece. Adhere an apples border sticker just above the pink piece.
Step 3: Crop three photos to 3” x 3” and mount them on three 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” pieces of Kelly Green Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the top of the layout. Crop a photo to 3-3/4” x 4-3/4” and mount on a 4” x 5” piece of Canary Solid Cardstock. Adhere on the lower left side of the layout.
Step 4: Using the outside edge of the small heart Gemstone Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut a heart shape with Red Solid Cardstock. Trim off the bottom using scissors to make an apple shape. Use the inside edge of the smallest Oval Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade to cut out the stem with Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock and the leaf with Kelly Green Solid Cardstock (move the pattern as needed to get the shape you want, then use scissors to trim out). Adhere the small apple on the layout.
Step 5: Using the outside edge of the large heart Gemstone Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut a heart shape with Red Solid Cardstock. Using the same pattern with the Red Blade, cut a heart shape with White Solid Cardstock. Trim off the bottom of each to make an apple shape. Adhere the white shape on the red shape. Use the inside of the second smallest Oval Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade to cut out the stem and leaf, like you did in Step 4. Adhere the large apple on the layout.
Step 6: Place the Whirls & Swirls Titletopia on a non-stick surface. Lightly adhere the tops of Classy Mini ABC/123 Stickers along the black lines near the edges of the aligner to create a swirl title. Place the aligner with the title on the large apple shape and press down on the letters firmly. Carefully lift the aligner off the page. Rub the letters down firmly to secure.

Step 7: Adhere stickers and embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for dimension.
Step 8: Journal as desired.
