Soak Up the Sun With This Tropical Layout

Ignore the cold weather and embrace memories of tropical vacations with this beachy layout! Did you know you can make your own waves with scrapbook paper? While it may not be the same thing as laying on the beach, it’s not a bad alternative! See how you can recreate this layout with the Sun-Soaked collection.

Layout by Melissa Ullmann — CM Independent Advisor

Ingredients:

Step 1: Use a piece of Beige Solid Cardstock as the base of the layout.

Step 2: Tear three pieces of paper for the top edge: waves, bubbles and tonal waves dark sea green. Layer these pieces and adhere to the top edge of the layout. These emulate “waves/water.”

Step 3: Using the Tonal Sand Dark Orange Paper, cut two photo mats to measure 6” x 4”. Adhere to layout.

Step 4: Using the Tonal Sand Orange paper cut a photo mat to measure 4” x 4”. Adhere to the layout.

Step 5: Using a variety mat with circle, cut out the circle shape using the outside of the small CCS-circle with the red blade. Adhere by tucking in-between the torn paper at the top.

Step 6: Using a large variety mat, cut in half to measure 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”. Adhere to the layout.

Step 7: Adhere photos that measure: (2) 5-3/4” x 3-3/4”, (1) 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” and (1) 2-1/2” x 3-3/4”.

Step 8: Adhere stickers and embellishments as desired, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

Step 9: Use Navy Dual-Tip Pen to doodle along outside edges of the Beige Solid Cardstock.

Step 10: Journal as desired.
